That vesting option on "Skull" Cortez is on me when I was Detroit's GM. It was supposed to be 170 innings pitched. Since we have the DH, I certainly wouldn't do that on purpose. I use vesting options religiously and I always make the goal attainable. I use them because if the guy is injury prone it's a better option to get out of a contract if he doesn't make his goal of ABs or IPs or whatever.
I'd let Josh keep that option(: ....he hit the 170 innings threshold...Cortez was a bust. Worst mistake I made as GM at Detroit, even worse than the Manolo Gonzalez trade with St. Louis. Not two weeks into spring training Cortez took a ratings hitand never recovered.

I would take being a Patriots fan and losing these two Super Bowls over being a fan of any other mediocre franchise who got lucky once or twice. You can't argue YOUR GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG MEN didn't get lucky with the Tyree catch, etc. A few lucky plays in any game of the year would never have me excited to be a fan of another team but I'm just spoiled. I'll take the team that is expected to AT THE LEAST make the Conference Championship Game each year even when your tight end was charged with murder, your other is hurt, half the team is injured and you still expect them to go get to the dance.
