So in order to do the awards voting the fairest way possible here is what we are going to do:
Answer the poll question on each site, the winner of that poll win receive 3points, 2nd pace in total votes receives 2 points, 3rd place gets 1 points.
Also please send me your top 3 voters for each category like we have done in the past. 1st place votes receive 3 points, 2nd place gets 2 points and 1st place receive 1 point.
This will allow us to have a higher number of votes and have the winners be determined decidedly.

Is it best to add the votes of the poll as, essentially, one extra vote? It was kind of a mistake on my part to even run the poll. I completely forgot the 1st place, 2nd place, third place private message system was the best way to do the awards.

Once the polls were put up, I just planned to count them as an extra voter to go along with all the individual votes I get via PM. Not getting a good turnout so far on PMs so if it continues, I just might create a committee to vote on the awards each season. It seems like nobody has any interest in doing it again....

this is the part of the league that is confusing to me. We all agree that the pace needs to be slowed down but when we do nobody gets that active. If nobody wants to vote on awards, participate in GotW's etc, why are we slowing it down!?!?!

It's always like this in the beginning of an off season. I think a lot of the ideas folks have posted about GotW's are good ones, like PMing GMs, finding out who wants to be a part of them. As far as the awards go. I admit it I voted for Pablo and that's it, I don't have time to look through all of the stats of the players. Maybe that's the situation for others. It sucks for the folks who put in the effort of all of these fun extras in the league and if they don't feel like it's worth it. I hope they do. I'm sure a lot of people are like myself sometimes where I read everything and just don't post that much sometimes. Is that annoying?

It'll take awhile for all the surveys to go around, and for commish to iron out all the tweaks of changing to 12. Commish, the beginning of the offseason (before Free Agency sets in) is the ONLY time I wish we were simming every day lol. There's very little to do, hence the lack of activity. GM's better use this downtime to get their 40man in order. I don't want to spend four days to get the Rule-V draft in order when things are already going at a snail's pace.

are we still managing rosters in 11 or are we doing things once we get to 12? just curious on how this works as this is my first transition to a new version of the game.

Voting works best when it's easiest for the GMs to vote. That means stat lines and one click votes. I personally enjoy digging through the player stats, but RL isn't going to allow me to this time.
