[shadow=red,left,300]Milwaukee Brewers (82-73) @ Atlanta Braves (97-58)[/shadow]
MIL: Clay Bucholz (15-9, 2.99 ERA)
ATL: Wandy Rodriguez (11-9, 3.52 ERA)
The Brewers (have no chance of winning the wild card after failing to sweep Pittsburgh)/still have a chance at winning the Wild Card). They begin the game (X) games back of Pittsburgh after their series and (assuming they're still alive) will need a sweep of the Braves to make the postseason.
They'll turn to Clay Bucholz who has been excellent this year. Bucholz has posted his best ERA and WHIP totals this season, and has the credentials to turn in a big start with the season on the line.
Despite adding a flurry of players at the deadline though, the Brewers have only gone 28-26, mostly because Hunter Pence's struggles this season have continued. With a .178 average and only four home runs, Pence will likely be scapegoated for Milwaukee's average second half.
All the Braves are playing for his home field advantage in the NLCS against Chicago. Their other big question. How many RBI's can Riaan Spanjer-Furstenburg drive in? The young first baseman leads the NL in RBI's and may be the season's MVP.
Questions for the GM's. For Brandon W. Why hasn't your team clicked down the stretch like many thought it would?
Mike Gonzalez has been incredible for Milwaukee. Assess what he's brought your team?
You'll probably be on the outside looking in. What was the turning point this year?
For Anthony Valentine, will you rest your starters or go full throttle to get the best record in the NL?
Is Riaan Spanjer-Furstenburg this season's MVP?
Any young kids you want to see perform in this game?
