Rules:
1. Pick the winner of this week's game 2. Predict the score 3. Select the game's offensive MVP from either team
Entries should look something like this:
Padres 10 - Rockies 0 MVP: Lastings Milledge
4. Winner shall be selected by the following order.
I. Choosing the correct winner II. Smallest difference between actual and predicted run total III. MVP RBI IV: MVP runs V. MVP hits VI. MVP SO (least wins) VII. MVP PA
The winner of the previous week's Pick'em, will select the current week's Pick'em game. This can be done either via PM or within the appropriate Pick'em thread. Pick'em games will be the first sim day of the PBL week (usually a Monday).
Winners are free to include their own game preview, but in most cases I will author a quick preview of the Pick'em game. I'll try and keep the previews about the pitching matchups, since I don't want to influence the MVP selections.
Prizes:
There will be both a first place prize and runner-up prize for PBL Pick'em.
First Place - $3.5M cash bonus + custom PBL Pick'em Champion signature banner/avatar (TBD) Runner-Up - $1.5M cash bonus

Guess I'll put this year's edition of PBL Pick'em to rest. Sam takes the gold, and Erick takes the silver here.
Sorry that the last few sims were missing picks, but I've been running short on time and it doesn't seem fair to put up posts last minute. That, and the diminishing interest in the game post-trade deadline didn't do it any favors.
I might can the entire Pick'em process, or at the very least turn it over to a more community-friendly format. Thoughts?

I though it was great and participated in every one. It's a fun way for other managers to get a brief glimpse of teams that may not be their own. I'm wholly in favor of keeping it, and in fact, I'd like to see three more Pick Em's done this season.
How about Game 1 between each Division League Game and World Series?

The pacing is a bit quick, and I think getting in enough picks will be a problem... but I suppose there's no harm in going for it.
My main problem is that having <10 GMs participating in a gimmick like this, with a cash prize, isn't really fair to the rest of the league. Yes, everyone does have a chance to participate, but shouldn't be "punished" for opting out. You know what I mean?

How about no cash prize for these last few, just bragging rights?

I'll donate my win to charity anyways (maybe the Milton Bradley Hospital for the Mentally Disturbed?) - I have more $$$ than I can carry over to next years anyway (the max is $10m i think) - so the $3.5m isnt needed.
As for the playoffs -
Twins 1 Rays 5 (mvp Webb) Dodgers 2 Braves 3 (mvp ackley)
