Since the league is so active, I want to take the time to introduce a new game within the PBL: PBL Pick'em. The premise is simple, pick the the team that will win the week's pick'em game, and predict the scores. The player who picks the correct winner and has the lowest difference between runs scored, wins that week.
The previous week's winner gets to pick the upcoming week's game of the week, and I'll keep a running total of all winners to tally it up at the end of the season. Nothing is at stake here, only eternal (read: annual) bragging rights (and maybe a small cash prize if the commish is willing).
I'll also try and write a quick preview summary of the game, so this should be another area where you can get your daily news. Not sure whether this will be a real life weekly, or per sim, type deal. Guess that depends on the reception it receives from the league. If it bombs out, then I guess this will be the only week.
Rules: 1. Pick the winner of this week's game 2. Predict the score 3. Select the game MVP from either team
Entries should look something like this:
Padres 10 - Rockies 0 MVP: Lastings Milledge
4. Winner shall be selected by the following order.
I. Choosing the correct winner II. Smallest difference between actual and predicted run total III. MVP RBI IV: MVP runs V. MVP hits VI. MVP SO (least wins) VII. MVP PA
And now onto business:

04/09/12 New York (0-0) at Washington (0-0) Projected Starters: NYM: Jake Peavy (0.00 ERA, 0-0) WAS: Jenrry Mejia (0.00 ERA, 0-0)
This week's PBL Pick'em game is the season home opener for the rising Washington Nationals. The Nats will take on the 2011 World Champion Mets in what will be a great match-up between two star pitchers.
Jake Peavy will make his debut with the Mets, after being traded over from Seattle for budding star catcher Bryan Anderson. Expectations in New York will be high for Peavy, who will turn 31 in May, as Mets fans will expect an encore presentation of the World Champ 2011 season.
Jenrry Mejia will get the nod for the Opening Day start, as he enters his sophomore campaign. Mejia is expected to improve upon his 2011 season, and will look to provide the Nats a stable presence at the top of the rotation alongside Jordan Zimmerman.

Guess I should have specified, MVPs should be hitters. You can change from Mejia if you like, Houston (unless you meant that you thought Mejia would hit while the rest of his team gets shutout...).
I should also mention that I will disqualify any posts with edits in them after league sim time. You can edit and revise up until that time, but as soon as Derek starts the sim process, your submissions are locked in.
