09/10/12 Minnesota (71-66, Road: 32-37) at Seattle (70-67, Home: 36-30) Projected Pitchers: MIN: LHP J.Danks (4-7, 6.70 ERA) SEA: RHP C.Zambrano (7-13, 4.49 ERA)
Injury-ravaged Minnesota travels to the west coast to take on the Seattle Mariners in this week's premiere Pick'em game.
The Twins are clinging to a scant 2.5 game lead in the tight AL Central, while the Seattle Mariners remain just barely alive in the Wild Card. While a late season run might be unlikely, the M's can turn their attention to being a party-spoiler for other teams, and a good series against the Twins would be a good start.
Minnesota is missing stars Rene Tosoni and Joe Mauer, and will be facing Carlos Zambrano who is coming off a 20-0 win against the Angels. Big Z has struggled to be an impact starter for the M's, compiling a 7-13 record behind King Felix in the rotation. In the away dugout, lefty John Danks will take the hill for the Twinkies. Danks' last start was also against the Angels, but did not end as well for him and his team. The Halos whomped Danks for 6 runs in 5 innings, and dealt him his seventh loss of the season, and first with Minnesota. Danks had been claimed of waivers from the White Sox earlier in the week on Monday.

FYI: Beckett's toeing the rubber. Danks is buried as the #2 mop up guy for the time being. Thats being said..... Twins 4-3 MVP: Sweeney Total homer pick. I have to pick them because I doubt anyone else will
