08/27/12 Los Angeles (64-60, Road: 34-29) at Baltimore (66-59, Home: 37-26) Projected Pitchers: LAA: RHP Ervin Santana (10-11, 5.51 ERA) BAL: RHP Jake Arrieta (5-7, 4.70 ERA)
The LA Angels head over to the east coast in this week's PBL Pick'em; an AL Wild Card showdown versus the surging Baltimore Orioles.
Ervin Santana gets the call for Disney, and has been underwhelming through 25 games in 2012. He's been decimated by left-handed batting all year, giving up a .323/.370/.478 triple slash to lefties. The Angels will need him to get on track if they want to remain viable contenders for a playoff spot.
The Orioles find themselves a mere 3 games back of the second-place Red Sox, and will need a nice series against LA to brace themselves for a visit from the AL East leading Rays later in the week. They'll look to sophomore pitcher Jake Arrieta to get them started against the Angels on Monday. Arrieta has been a valuable asset since his callup last year, and is coming off a strong showing against Seattle, where he tossed 7+ shutout innings en route to his 5th win of the season.

To incentivize this Pick'em properly, this Pick will be worth two points!
This is due to the Super Bowl Sunday nature of the pick, and the last-minute nature of the post. As with before, in these last-minute posts, we need to hit 10 picks before this one'll count.
Get in your picks! (And in interest of fairness, I will not participate this week, and will be whipping myself across the back, a la the Da Vinci Code, for repentance)

I suppose we'll count it.
I would expect that Rockies took it from the M's considering the above...
Yeah.
Rockies and M's tie on the pick.
Rockies : Moore - 2 for 5; 1 RBI Mariners: Petit - 1 for 5; 1 R
Rockies win the Super Bowl edition of PBL Pick'em! Two points! Count 'em! (Also interesting strategy Erick... lol!)
