lol the last time these guys faced each other, they were both injured in the game!
I like the Angels' bullpen to hold up in a 6-4 win. MVP: Morales

Though it pains me to say so... Erick and the Rockies take the win in the deadline sim... Make a pick for August 6th, champ.

Let's go with the surging Pirates visiting the Reds with the Cardinals well within reach for both teams.
Micah Owings gets the start for the Reds, and he's had another good year. He doesn't have great stuff, but he has a good fastball, throws strikes, and competes as hard as anybody. He's the unsung hero of the Reds, and the last time he faced the Pirates in Cincinnati, he fired a one-hit, one-walk shutout back in April.
He'll face a streaking Pirates team that has itself at .500. Matt Wieters gives the club a special bat in the middle of the order. Hunter Pence is back after a quad injury and is putting up terrific numbers, with young Brent Peterson playing the part of an up-and-coming extra base hit machine. With Andrew McCutcheon rebounding from an awful start (.300 average in July and August), the Pirates actually have some punch to make a run at the Central.
