06/24/12 Chicago White Sox (33-37) at Philadelphia Phillies (38-32) Projected Pitchers: CWS: Gavin Floyd (5.45 ERA, 4-5) PHI: Cole Hamels (3.30 ERA, 7-4)
Gavin Floyd and the up and coming White Sox travel to Citizen's Bank Park to take on the injury ravaged Phillies in this edition of PBL Pick'em.
The Phils' key injuries include C Geovany Soto, 2B Chase Utley and SS Edgar Renteria, as well as injuries to the pitching rotation, including JA Happ, Chris Young and Roy Halladay. Cole Hamels has been enjoying a solid season to date, but has gone winless in his past two starts, despite throwing 15 IP and allowing only 4 runs. The stagnant Phillies offense is the key to this game.
The White Sox are enjoying production from their youngsters, with Gordon Beckham and AJ Casario leading the way. Resurgent veterans Cody Ross and Aramis Ramirez are also providing plenty of punch from the middle of the Chicago lineup. Starter Gavin Floyd has struggled his last few outings, and has compiled a three game winless streak, posting 15.1 IP, 13 ER, 5 HRA, 8 BB and 10 K over that span.

Woohoo! The White Sox are in a pick 'em. I appreciate the generosity. Poor Gavin Floyd, he had such a good season and now he's really struggling. Note: This will also be Francisco's first day as our closer, so crazy things could happen!
White Sox win 7-4 MVP: Gian Guzman (Mainly because I want to point out the Rule 5 Draft Pick that has a 9.3 VORP and a .305 average.)

Bullseye Mariners.
We'll wait till Saturday's(?) sim for the next pick'em. These one day sims make it tough to get enough picks. Game will be for Monday the 9th. Congrats and let me know, Sam.

Outstanding! (spot the guy who bets the over/under on baseball scores a little too much?!) the pointless ChiSox 9th inning pinch hit HR won it for me... thanks Jeff Tekak!
I'll take Baltimores divisional match up at Tampa on Monday July 9th (i.e. not this sim but the next)

I was thinking...because we've missed two weeks of PBL, how about for this week's games, Sam chooses three games. One of them will count whereas the winner chooses the next week's game, and the other two will just be for a point.
Also, for the ASW, since there won't be a Monday Game, instead of picking a game when everyone comes back later in the week, I think we should pick the All-Star Game.
Thoughts?

Definitely yes on the ASG (been thinking that too). And I'll go three Pick'em's if the league wants it. Probably split up the days and the picks (to the current leaders) if we go that route. Meaning M/W/F within a sim. We'll wait for Sam to chip in, since it's his Pick'em we'll be mutilating.
