With July and All-Star voting just around the corner, I thought I would take the time to gauge interest in holding some extra All-Star month activities.
I already have the basic premise for a "home-run derby," so I'm all set there, but I'd appreciate any other ideas any one else may have.
Let's get the think tank rolling; either name off All-Star events that are held in real life, or ways we can implement said events.

The Futures Game! I love the Futures Game because it helps you take a look at prospects.

I'd love to implement the futures game... not sure how we could handle that though... Any ideas?

We could make a copy of the data file and then use that file to move the players manually onto two teams to play in one game.

And if we ever get our retired players problem fixed we could also do that to have an awesome Old Timers' game.

Maybe, maybe not. If we use duplicate league files, we'd just use the All-Star Teams/All-Star Game to play out the futures game. Personally, I think that the futures game would be enough to start. Esp. if we'd be talking 3 duplicate files... AND we could add a custom history entry in the player history section to mention that they were a Futures game selection.

That'd be cool. I'd totally spend some time helping select the teams for this. Would we do an America / World format? Or something else?

America v. World for sure. Really like the idea, it'll be interesting to see how the Commish feels about duplicating league files for one game...

I love this idea, especially if the commish can add the selection to the player histories. And if it goes well you can perhaps manually add it to the schedule each year during pre-season
