I am having issues downloading a new file in game - it will download to about 24% then give an error "Error:Could Not Download File"
I have tried about everything - i re downloaded the setting file - I went as far as uninstalling the game and reinstalling
Tried from a different computer (I have 2 very beefy gaming computers) both do the same thing. I messed around with my modem and router no luck - the only way I can get a new file right now is manually download it which is a pain.
Any suggestions would help - this started about 2 days ago!

Sounds like a problem with your ISP. Especially if it is happening on two different machines. Download in game happens via FTP. When you pull it from the site you are getting it on HTTP. HTTP is much more forgiving of interruptions.... Some other things you could try though: 1 - Pull down the accountsdata_gms.dat (i.e. "Settings") file from stats+ links and replace the one in your settings folder. 2 - Try out the different FTP options available in OOTP. (Not in front of the game right now, I think there is an option right by where you export). 3 - Try after a fresh reboot where nothing else has had a chance to claim memory. 4 - Verify you have plenty of disk space and RAM available. That's what I got off the top.

Thanks - I think it has to be my ISP - I don't think its connecting to the server at all - It will normally tell me if there isn't a file to download and it just clocks now even when I have the most recent file.
Have updated the accountsdata_gms.dat file from stats+ and the league file from there.
I bet my ISP is blocking it some how - I will keep playing around with it - years ago I use to have to turn my Firewall off just to download.
I have over 30gb of disk space on my ssd with 400GB on the HDD and 32gb of 3200 ram in both machines (this is overkill for RAM but the extra 16GB was free)
Will keep playing around and let you know if I figure something out

It has been terribly slow at times. Bigger files = even more issues. Dave (S+) suggested it may be because the world is at home watching Netflix (or equivalent).
Usually after the "error" message a second or third try seems to work for me. Maybe restarting the game and file too (and the router).
