We're a trading league ! 27 trades in the first 6 days of trading, hope this level of GM activity keeps up! I think once we've ironed out the starting problems and the growing pains this will be a great league with some fantastic GM's

I'd say so, but I am happy to see trading go down a bit now season is under way. I think when a league first starts or you take over a club, you want to put your own imprint on it. Its nice to see that everyone who is making trades though seem to have a plan in place and are sticking with it.

imo also nice to see a lack of 'stupid' trades - i could see why almost every one of the was made - and most seemed pretty balanced. almost every league ive been in has had two or three teams completely ruined for seasons to come by a GM making ridiculously bad decisions in the first few weeks!

I want details so I can laugh at these pathetic GM's! Also, making a lot of trades is nice early on because it shows enthusiasm. Also, a lot of people are going into all-out rebuilding or all-out adding pieces. They're establishing the direction of the franchise. Now that this flurry has taken place, things will probably die down a bit. For example, I'm in an enviable position where I have a team that's very competitive, very deep, and very young. I can go 14 months in game without trading, at least until some of my kids become arbitration eligible and contracts pile up. I'm going to be focus greatly on developing from within the next season, which will lead to much fewer trades. It doesn't mean that I won't be active though

I agree with Seattle. I had taken over teams that were just destroyed. If you look at the initial trades, there were some blockbuster names , now there are more good players being dealt for other moving parts, or minor leaguers being dealt for relievers, etc. I completely understand teams wanting to take over a team and make it their own. Who wants to win with something someone else put together but it is nice to see is balance over course of a season.
i don't even care if there are 100 trades, as long as they make sense and teams are doing it to go with their direction, not just throwing names around to move for the sake of doing so. I am sure we will have a few of those as well but I really doubt it will ever become the majority in this league.
