We did this poll last season but it was rushed and did not get the attention I thought it needed to make the change. For those that weighed in with opinions last time, apologies. Please reiterate here.
There are 3 choices here, 7, 10 or 14 day DL.
This is a change vote so it requires 75% to pass. Votes for 7 + votes for 10 will be included in the "Pass" tally. If it "passes" the leader of 7 or 10 days will be implimented.
Proxy votes will go to a 7 day DL.

Vote is 17-2 in favor. Why does everyone want 7 days so bad? I'm honestly asking. To me--- a DL of 7 days is like no DL at all, really. It will ALWAYS be a one sim DL. I get the argument about how a player is eligible to come off the DL mid-sim and we can't do anything about it... and that sucks and I wish the game engine would let us micromanage that for sure.
I'm holding my vote on this one to see if folks want to help me understand why this is overwhelmingly popular.

No one has shared much on this one. I just voted yes since that is what the majority seem to want.

I think the obvious answer is that we deal with 7 day sims. So 10 days doesn’t work as well if a guy is only due to miss 6 days or so. I think it has most to do with lining up with our weekly sim

Yeah, to me it's more of a convenience to line up with sims and be able to make on the spot roster decisions each sim.

It is in my experience playing players who suffer from minimal, minor or day-to-day injuries leads to longer term injuries. Not all the time, and each player has variance, but it happens. A player who is minimally injured for 2-6 days benefits from a 7 day DL stint. There isn't enough rust to impact performance when they come back, not needing a rehab stint, and the sim allows you to get the player healthy to come back and contribute in the following sim. If the IL term is longer than 7 days, the player misses minimal 2 sims. 7 day injured list stints are helpful to GMs. I hope this sheds some light.

This poll passed. I will make the change in tonight's sim.
