1. Felix Hernandez, SP - Seattle Mariners -- I feel like we're doing the real Cy Young voting, because here comes Hernandez with great stats but not as many wins as some of the other top contenders. While not as extreme as it will be in real life thanks to Seattle's excellent season, some still might vote for C.C. Sabathia's 20-win season. I'm going with Hernandez because of his ridiculous 1.95 ERA and 206 strikeouts. He had a 2.89 FIP, which also lead the AL. He truly is the King.
2. C.C. Sabathia, SP - New York Yankees -- When you play for the best team in baseball you're going to rack up the wins, but C.C. went out there every fifth day and pitched his heart out for the Evil Empire (well, knowing Nigel they probably stole it from him). He won 20 of his 34 starts and put up a respectable 2.73 ERA. He also led the American League in innings pitched with 260.
3. Rich Harden, SP - Texas Rangers -- The fact that Rich Harden was healthy all season, and put up a 2.64 ERA even with a .307 BABIP at the Ballpark in Arlington, means that he deserves the third spot on this ballot. He got 16 wins and led the AL in strikeouts with 249. He also had the second best FIP in the league. His win total isn't quite as high as some others because the Rangers weren't great this season, but Harden had a great season. Any other season he totally could've won a Cy Young for his efforts.

1. 'King' Felix Hernandez (Seattle) - Didnt win as many games as CC, but pretty much dominated every other important pitching catagory (ERA, opp AVG, VORP etc') as well as winning both playoff games giving up 2 earned runs total on 2 days rest! Would have had even better numbers if I hadnt rested him the last two sims of the regular season.
2. CC Sabathia (Yankees) - 20 game winner, and the star of the WS winning rotation.
3. Rafael Soriano (Rays) - Led the majors in saves, was lights out for the Rays all year

1) Felix Hernandez (Seattle): Hernandez didn't have the win total of Sabbathia, but he has a better ERA, and a demonic (for hitters anyway) WHIP total, plus two awesome postseason starts on short rest.
2) C.C. Sabbathia (Yankees): The AL's only 20 game winner, Sabbathia was a strike-throwing, innings-eating machine on a dominant team. He finished second in VORP and second in WHIP to King Felix.
3) A.J. Burnett (Yankees): As the weather got hotter, so did Burnett, winning 14 of 15 decisions over the summer. He also turned in a quality postseason start before going down for the count with a torn ligament.
