1. Who was the best addition you made to your organization this offseason?
I love Orlando Garcia. I'm hoping he is half as good as I expect him to be. He could be one of the building blocks going into this time of transition for the Red Sox.
2. Who will you miss the most from your MLB squad?
Offensively, Xian-Yao Chew because we really lack power and his 36 homers will be missed but we will not miss his pathetic defense for us his injury history and $30m price tag made it really easy to say goodbye. Because of his bat, we offered him a 1-year deal in case he didn't get any offers but wasn't touching that price.
Chris Thornton is a player I really had an attachment to. In 2035, we bid to get him to Boston but couldn't match Seattle's $200m offer. We followed his career and despite not living up to the hype, we still wanted him and got him in a trade 5-seasons later after being traded to Detroit. We were able to lock him up with a 4-year, $46m deal in which he certainly lived up to the value in my opinion and then last year got him on a 2-year, $12m deal ($6m AAV). He didn't fit the construction of our roster this year but it was still tough letting him go.
3. What is the biggest mistake you have ever made in the PBL?
We
4. Has OOTP19 changed your approach? In what way if so?
I don't think OOTP19 has changed my approach yet. This year though I'm taking some different approaches strategy wise but that is because of the type of team I have. I have always had some power hitters and this year I fully expect to finish last in the AL, possibly in the entire PBL in team homers. We got a ton of high contact hitter and speed so we are switching our approach to be extra aggressive and just run, run, run.
5. Open your game and look in the history section. What is the most impressive PBL record you see?
without looking the most amazing PBL things for me is simply how good Shane has been and for how long. Shane is a Steelers fan in real life but what he has done is ..... wait for it Shane.... VERY PATRIOT LIKE.
Also, the careers of Sotan Kono and Robert Vasti were unbelievable. Pitching-wise, the career of Orlando Perez.
6. Will your team be improved record-wise in 2047?
If not then I'm doing a terrible job. Last year was an awful year due to personal reasons and not managing my team the way I should have. I think we still struggle this year but are better than last season.
7. Who is your most likely award candidate for 2047?
I got too many guys who are prone for injury or just simply not good enough. If I had to pick I would say Orlando Garcia challenging for a batting title crown even though I just cursed him and he will now hit .247 on the year.
8. Predict the world series!
Dodgers are always impressive but until Shane is still the king of the PBL. I love how the A's run their organization and I think they are the class of the AL so I will go with Pirates over A's in 6.
