Ok. Time for the big reveal. Thanks for the GMs that assisted in compiling this list. So, without further adieu...
Cash. 10 credits for $100,000.
Fan Interest. 100 credits for one point. Can only buy one point at a time. Can be purchased 3 times a year. After 40 games, 80 games, and 120 games.
300 credits for a draft pick in a "supplemental" round between rounds 3 and 4. Purchased draft picks cannot be traded.
50 credits to nickname a player
150 credits to rename a player. Player must have less than 2 years professional service time.
1 credit for 1 stadium seat. Life maximum of 6,000 seats added to a stadium. No stadium can exceed 56,000 seats.
1,000 credits to change major league park dimensions. Allowed once every 10 years.
750 credits to change a minor league park dimensions. Allowed once every 10 years per park.
150 credits to rename a park. Free with dimension change.
Some thoughts.
There will be a cap of 300 credits that a GM can earn every season.
I do not expect to nail this out of the gate. I would expect rewards to go through a couple rounds of fine tuning the next couple of off seasons. But we need a starting point to grow from.
The cash reward may make some people nervous. I understand messing with the financials can be dicey. However cash is certainly the least impactful financial aspect. Ultimately revenue drives the financials. Cash only helps to accomplish short term goals. I would expect buyers of cash to be struggling organizations that need a little bump. I do not expect this reward to inject anywhere close to the $96 million mathematically possible. If this reward is more popular than I anticipate the cost can be adjusted.
Stadium buyers will need to understand up front that by modifying your stadium you remove the possibility of OOTP adjusting your stadium when the league converts versions.
As I have stated multiple times I am striving for a balance between some actual, meaningful rewards but certainly not impactful enough to make or break a franchise.
I hope the majority are on board to give this a shot and see how it plays out.
I will type out the complete rewards program details and get them added to the governance soon. I was hoping to be more thorough with this initial post but crazy work hours took up more of my time and energy these last couple of weeks than usual and I did not want to make you all wait any longer.
