I am sorry to announce that Ricky of the Royals is no longer a member of the PBL. I think many of you are aware of some of the issues we have faced with him since he joined the league. Last off season I explained to him that a tanking strategy would no longer be tolerated and gave him 2 specific expectations for this season. He blatantly disregarded one of them. As a result I took a deep dive into the status of his organization and found it mismanaged in a variety of ways. Honestly I did not find any aspect that was well managed. From finances to team chemistry to roster management and more. If there are questions or concerns about the specific details of my decision I would be happy to share. Drop me a private message and I will elaborate.
Myself and other GMs that have some experience have reached out to him on multiple occasions to offer advice and have gone unheeded. As a result of all of these factors I made the decision to go ahead and remove him.
The opening will be filled soon.
I want to reinforce that I am not on a crusade to turn over membership in the PBL. Every GM that I have the slightest concern about has received a private message from me this week. If you did not receive one that means I have zero concerns. Everyone should know exactly where they stand. This league is NOT moving towards a play by the Commissioners rules or get axed environment.
As I have made public in my recent posts, I do think the PBL can be better and I am upping the expectations. But know that communication will happen well in advance of any action being taken.

I applaud your decision, Ron. You have always demonstrated the league's best interest at heart in your decisions. Keep up the great work man.

I have so, so much snark that I am holding in right now, it's like the snark is steam and I'm a teapot and now I'm just overflowing with snark. Alas, I shall bite my tongue.

It's a shame this ever has to be done, but...

A few years ago, a nearby neighbor bragged to me he was stopped by the police for running a stop sign, but managed to avoid the fine and demerit points on his license because the officer gave him a warning only.
A few months later, we were chatting and he shared with me he was stopped for speeding in a school zone but the officer checked his record, it was clean, and proceeded to give him a warning.
Both time he was smiling like the cat who swallowed the canary.
Just 3 months ago, we were chatting and he was pissed off about a recent event. I asked why and he explained he was stopped for running a red light. And he has to pay over $300 plus he will be docked 3 demerit points. I sincerely asked why he was mad about it? He was upset that this was his "first time" getting caught and having a record of this on his driving record and proceeded to blame the officer for this.
Imagine the nerve, huh?
