Sorry guys. I meant to do this like 3 times last week and kept forgetting. Man, my memory isn't like it used to be!! The first question needs to be is the Orioles GM getting too old to remember shit!!! YES HE IS As always, here is an opportunity to tell everyone a little about your team. 1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water? 2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why? 3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't? 4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival? 5. 1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water? For the first time in several seasons, I made some significant moves as I keep one eye on our current season while keeping the other eye on growing the prospect pipeline. One of Shane's best attributes as a GM is always being in a position to contend season in and season out. My man goal is to continue to be in contention with him, and put our team in a position to win a Championship. All that to say, moving Paul Doss, Clarence McCoubrey and Luis Negron was a way to improve our major league roster. Jim Shaw and Forest Frank will help us compete this year. Moving 4 prospects to nab the number 1 pick in the upcoming amateur draft will give us a shot at an elite prospect if all development plans go according to plan. Finally, signing two key players to extensions that are within market for their output help us achieve some financial stability for the next few seasons, which is important as more of our young players become arbitration eligible. Current success and future success is right on schedule and I am stoked how this rebuild has all come together for the Mets!2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why?There is no better time than now. Over the past 3 seasons, we have averaged 98 wins (91,102,103) and have progressed through the playoff levels the past 2 seasons by losing in the Divisional Series and the NLCS. Our young core has experience, they are battle-tested and we have a chance to go to the World Series this season. Our owner has set a goal to reach the World Series by 2046, as well. So this season will be a disappointment if we do not at least reach the WS. So that is the goal for sure. 3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't?Will we be fined for tampering if we answer this?
Duane Hansen would be that guy for me. Such a balanced hitter, with elite power. He hits for contact, has gap power, has home run power, great plate discipline and doesn't strike out like a power hitter. ELITE!4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival? It's Pittsburgh. Not in a "I hate your guts, wanna pummel your face" kind of way. I respect the hell out of what Shane does and the way he competes every season. His success drives me to put together teams that also contend year after year. The one key thing I have learned from him is to move players for value when you can and have a stock-pile of prospects to either develop or move in deals to improve the team. He is a MASTER at it, so i have many ways to go to even move into that conversation. But I'm trying. 5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year?SP Randy Brown will make his debut at some point, this season. A RHP, Brown sits at 94-96 mph and has a nice repertoire of fastball/curveball/changeup. At 6'2 and 200 pounds, he has all the makings of a top-flight pitcher to give me a great 1-2 punch with Lopez at the top of the rotation. Brown still needs work on his changeup and will start the year in Buffalo triple-A. But don't be surprised to see him make his way to New York later this season!6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think? Thanks to Ron (Shout-out Ron!) for offering to buy the game with a group purchase and saving some $ to boot, I do own OOTP 19. I have had a chance to mess around with it (I think this is the year i will set up some offline leagues) and I have settled on the light skin, with OOTP 18 font, slightly larger than normal. The 3D view of the in-game is so well done. I'm really impressed, and to be honest, it makes watching OOTP 18 replays now a little wanting. I'm still trying to determine how a pitcher arm slot addition will impact player personnel decisions and what it means for on-field play. I cannot WAIT until we move to '19!7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win? What a year ahead we are in for. In the NL, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Atlanta, Washington and Carolina all have a shot at getting to the big game, not to mention the Mets. I'm impressed with what Sean has done this off-season and will choose the Reds as the NL representative.
In the AL, Oakland, Cleveland, New York, Baltimore, Colorado, Tampa, Texas and Minnesota all have a shot. It will be highly contested, but in the end I believe the Athletics make it out of the AL.
In the end, Oakland will win over the Reds, in 6 games. Hey, it's a prediction in March, so please take it with a grain of salt. lol

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water? I'd call it moderately successful. We didn't splurge on any long term free agent contracts to preserve some flexibility in the near future, but we plugged holes at 1B, DH, SP, and RP relatively cheaply. Losing Markus Price is a blow, but on the whole I think we should be a deeper, more balanced, and better team this season.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why? Probably 2-6 years from now. We can make the playoffs this season, and anyone in the playoffs can win it all, but on paper we're not as strong as the top teams in the NL now. Hopefully that will change in a couple of years because we have a top 3 farm system right now, and 4 of the top 18 prospects in the league right now are Washington SPs at AA or higher. If we can match a top notch rotation with contract extensions to Chris Allen and Robin Johnson we could be real good soon.
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't? Guilhem Ciaravella. Young five-tool player with ridiculous production the last two years that fills a position of need for our team. I'm certainly not saying no to Duane Hanson, but his fragility is a concern.
4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival? Last time you asked I was hoping to make it Atlanta since they were the big dog in the NL South. Since then we took the division away in 2043 and beat them in the wild card round for good measure. Then they returned the favor last year by beating us on the last day of the season to take the title back. So now it's definitely Atlanta.
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year? SP Josh Arnold is the first in that big wave of pitching prospects to hit the majors. He was tearing up AAA last year before he tore his rotator cuff. I'm concerned about his arm holding up, but so far this spring he's allowed 1 ER and 10 baserunners in 16 IP.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think? Yes, but I haven't played around with it much at all yet.
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win? I'll go with a rematch of the 2043 Series: Oakland vs. Pittsburgh. Oakland gets their revenge and wins in 7 this time.

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water? Great Success!Fans in Cincinnati had plenty to discuss over Thanksgiving after their hometown team traded two elite prospects to SD for SP Felipe Carrillo and pitching prospects Alan Johnston and Todd Gagnon. Over the years, both of these franchises have been able to find deals that benefit both teams, and this one was no exception. The Reds rotation has lacked that 1-2 punch at the top, and Carrillo fits that need perfectly.
We weren't done trying to improve the club, and managed to bring Christmas early by signing Japanese superstar Hisamitsu Kanegawa. Players like Kanegawa don't often reach free agency, and when they do have compensation attached. Our roster construction and success at the gates made it possible to outbid our competitors for this elite player. Kanegawa steps into a lineup that was already one of the top in the NL, but now looks to make that next step.
Prior to Kanegawa becoming a free agent, OF Ken Lawrence was a player we had tabbed as someone that would be a nice addition to our club. Not nice enough though for his initial contract demand of 8 years, but once he reduced his demand to a 1 year contract then he fit our desired length. Lawrence hit 44 HR last year, and I'm excited to see what he can bring to this team. He's also a pretty good defender, which will improve our OF defense from last season as well.2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why? Our window is quite simply now, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be slammed shut after this year. In three seasons, it will be interesting to see who opts in and who opts out. Vera, Kanegawa, and Miller all have opt outs after that season, and Limon has a team option.3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't? SP Enrique Vazquez would look pretty nice at the top of our rotation...come on Tim, let's make a deal!4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival? It's got to be LA. They've knocked the NL around the past few seasons, but this year it's our turn to knock them down.5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year? I think that Japanese OF I signed will end up making some wish they would've threw a few million more his way. SS Jason Pope technically is not eligible as a rookie, but he has never played a full season at the PBL level. I think he's going to make some huge strides this season and start realizing his potential.6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think? I like it so far. They've definitely made it look more flashy, but there are still significant issues in my opinion that continue to not be fixed. For example, why does the game not allow your pitcher to fully warm up when replacing an injured pitcher? I've never understood that.7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win? Oakland vs Cincinnati, with the Reds winning it all in 7 games.

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water?
It was a minor success. I did not do too much. Trading away Carrillo was a big move and definitely will not help this season. The trade made my thin starting rotation options that much thinner. But I am excited about the stud hitting prospects I obtained. On the other hand landing Rojas to strengthen a bullpen that really needed some help, especially with left handed pitchers, was a big win.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why?
I still have my sites set 2-3 seasons out. Getting to the playoffs last season was sweet. But it was a result of the team playing ridiculously over their heads for the first half of the season. I think the second half was more representative of what that team really was. I have several really nice looking players developing in the minors that should be ready for the show in 2047 and 2048.
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't?
Often times I like to answer questions like this against the grain but it is really hard to make a case against Duane Hansen. There are just no holes in his game.
4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival?
I can't wait for the Dodgers to get knocked of the NL West top spot. Go Giants! Go Diamondbacks! Let's make this happen! Tall order though. That team is strait up elite and I do not see them sliding any time soon. They have talent, Revenue and some good looking prospects.
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year?
Bullpen pitcher Alex Roberts was a September call up the past two seasons. With 62 days major league service time I think that still makes him a rookie. We are projecting a long successful career for him. No rookies are penciled into the starting lineup or rotation.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think?
I have the key but have not downloaded it yet. It is on my list to do to get familiar with it before the next PBL off season
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win?
The only thing I know for sure is whatever my pick is it will be wrong. Haha. So who gets the Kiss Of Death? I'll take the Athletics over the Reds in 6.

Media Day... One of of favorite things in the league. Thank you for posting it up as always John.
1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water? I did a little better than tread water, but didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I was looking to accomplish 3 things in the off-season. 1.Improve my lineup 2.Add depth to the bullpen 3.Acquire a proven star quality starting pitcher
I was able to improve the lineup with the additions of Paul Doss and Kyu-Soo Kim. I thought I had improved the bullpen depth and makeup by adding the veteran lefty Dale Boyas, but unfortunately Boyas suffered a season ending injury so I have to consider this goal unachieved. And I certainly tried hard and talked to alot of GMs but I couldn't close on deal for a star starting pitcher, this will something we will have to address in season.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why? The window is wide open right now. In fact this is our peak chance with Mario Colon reaching free agency at the end of this season and Jose Jimenez, Jose Garza and Patrick Bennett hitting the market the year after. Difficult decisions lie ahead on how we are going to spend our limited resources. So there is definitely a sense of urgency for the Warhounds to make the post season in 2046.
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't? Chris Allen is one of the best all around young players in the PBL with a great bat, glove and legs. Plus adding him to the Warhounds would have the added bonus of taking him away from a divisional rival.
4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival? Well since only 2 games separated me from the Braves and Nationals.....I would have to say Atlanta and Washington.
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year? Henry "Two Guns" Alexander was my 1st round draft pick 2 seasons ago after being drafted number 1 overall the year before. He is just about ready and is expected to join the Carolina starting rotation sometime this season.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think? Yes I own it and while it is as always a quality product, I am disappointed that most of changes are cosmetic. I would like to see improvements in the options and control of bullpen and lineup substitutions.
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win? The Reds have a fearsome lineup with the acquisitions of Hisamitsu Kanegawa and Ken Lawrence and look to be the class of the National League. In the American League I think that Oakland will earn a return trip back to the World Series and take home the ring this season.

As always, here is an opportunity to tell everyone a little about your team.
1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water?
I do. I changed very little on my team. It's pretty much the exact same team as last year, with the addition of the excellent Markus Price. I also extended Wolfe and Carlos Ramirez, but those won't affect this year any.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why?
Right the heck now. I'd like to think that I draft well enough (despite never having a first round pick) that I can keep this ball rolling for a while but it's hard to imagine my future looks brighter than the present. Especially if you consider the possiblity that two years from now I may be going up against 26 year-old Bartolo Santos on the same team as Duane Hansen, Fernando Gonzalez and Vincent Watson. In my own division.
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't?
Hard not to throw some love at Enrique Vazquez. But I'll take Duane Hansen. Just because.
4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival?
Oooo. It's probably a toss-up between Colorado and Texas. Colorado's going to be my biggest obstacle for success over the next five seasons, but we seem to run into Texas every damned year in the playoffs.
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year?
I do not have a single rookie on my ML team. I've got several ML-ready arms in AAA but they're marinating for the moment.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think?
Love it. The 3d is fantastic and it's another reliable upgrade.
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win?
Me against either Pitt or LAD. Those are clearly the teams to beat. The last AL team to win the World Series was Colorado and that I simply cannot abide.

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water?
I certainly tried to get better. It was the 2nd straight year where i tried to make some significant changes. Gone are Herb Griffith and Wally Magee. Good players, but I have to get younger, and im actively trying to. I'm overall happy with the offseason. So it's a success.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why?
Now, always NOW, unless I'm rebuilding, which isn't in my DNA after a initial rebuild, I'm trying to win. The last 2 years of missing the playoffs has been tough. I'm trying to win right now, and my aging pitching can only stay good so long. So i don't think that window is all the way open, but it's certainly not shut.
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't?
Carl Holmes. I wanted him before he was dealt to Oakland, but i didn't have the balls to come close.
4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival?
The Yankees have won the last 2 division titles. I've been there with them until September, and then watched the better team play better. I want their crown. They are the rivals at this point!
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year?
Millard Potts, who can play every position except catcher, and play most of them pretty well will be given every chance to be a contributor. I love him, and i really want him to be my super utility player. I tend to use depth alot, and I hope i can get him in 130 games.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think?
I do. Looks really nice. It's faster, but it's still OOTP, and while i enjoy the game, it still has some dumb issues that won't ever be fixed. I still think the scouting system in the game is horrible. I believe it doesn't make sense and leaves users with no control. Too random.
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win?
The Reds are good. Their huge signing, the outfielder, has a ridiculous skill set. He's scary good on paper! They will play an AL team. I'm pretty sure of that one!
8. Is the Baltimore GM to old to remember shit?
What? Who?...Yes

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water? I honestly will not know the answer to that question until a month or two in. We are a budget team so the splashes in free agency are more ripples than anything else. The rest of the plan is simply to wait for the youth to continue to take strides. Having said that, we were able to budget for some additional player development, so if that does start to show up a month or two in, then I will claim success.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why? Not yet. I feel two things need to happen. 1) The youth strides I mentioned above, and 2) The budget starting to rise, so that I can both keep the "hopefully" better team together with extensions and also add a key piece or two, if needed, through acquisition. Maybe two or three more seasons will provide a better indication. And yes, I know that is a long time to wait...but I have been waiting this long, so...
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't? There really isn't a single player that would help us right now. But I wouldn't mind having (again) a player I once had the pleasure of sending to the mound every five days while GM of the Angels years ago. That would be PIT SP Jhoan BROWN. His FIVE Cy's would easily add another 20+ wins to the Expos season. Instead I get to face him more than my fair share of times here in the NL East. Good times! 4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival? Had two last season and expect the same this season. PIT and NYM.
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year? Oddly, we only have one true rookie breaking camp with us. Most of our players are young and developing on the fly, with a coupld of seasons under their belt. LH RP Ed BELL will be counted on to shut down a few bats. BUT he will undoubtedly also move up and down this season between Montreal and El Paso as we try and get three or four arms some time in the bigs.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think? I do. It looks prettier, which is always a consideration for the developers. But I think it also adds some more meat on the bone. The AI is always beefed up behind the scenes and contracts will get tougher and tougher (translation: will hopefully reflect real life more and more, with less cheese). I LOVE the new feature of assigning a specific minimum buyout percentage on team option years. Long overdue! And hopefully we see the results of some work on both the manager AI and the ratings under the hood. Eventually the gains grow smaller and smaller when a game gets pretty good (as OOTP is), but as long as they can tweak enough each release, the game can only benefit.
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win? I say OAK cruises through the AL this season and will face one of three coming out of the NL - PIT (never count them out) - CIN - or possibly a surprising SF squad. OAKLAND takes it in six games!

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water?
Kind of just treaded water. Added Marcos Peña on a short deal, but mostly just stayed pat.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why?
Now and for the next 3-5 years I would think. Have some good pitching talent coming up which will allow me to make some trades for anything lacking.
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't?
Duane 'Minooka Mike' Hansen. He would look very nice in TB.
4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival?
Texas. Beating them is like Christmas. If not for Joe 'No Balls' Small who blew two games in the playoffs against Texas last year, 2045 would have been a wonderful year.
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year?
Well the #1 overall prospect in the PBL is Pedro Valentín, but even though he posted a 1.178 OPS in AAA last year, I am not totally sold on him.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think?
No yet
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win?
Well my WS is beating Texas in the playoffs so TB vs Texas, TB wins!!! (then we go on to beat Mets in 6)

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water?
Really just treaded water - our strength is going to be coming up from the minors, so didn't make sense to do too much in free agency. We did sign SP Javier Espinosa to a 6 year $130 million contract, and he'll slot in as the #3 pitcher in our rotation. I'm hoping that the "change to the baseballs" will make his 6 movement (along with Jose Chavez's and Mal Lewis's) less of a liability.
2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why?
I don't think we really have a true window. I really like the way this team is starting to look, but we are in a brutally tough division right now. My goal is to try to stay above average for a long while, try to sneak into some wildcard spots, and hope to make a run in the playoffs.
3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't?
Duane Hansen.. such a dominant player
4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival?
I'll always consider San Diego our rivals from those few years in the 2030's when they kept beating us out for the division. Right now, I just want to see somebody other than the Dodgers win the division!
5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year?
SP Javier Espinosa. He's 27 coming over from Cuba, and should be a contender for rookie of the year.
6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think?
I own it (thanks Ron!), but haven't actually opened it yet.. too busy watching real-life baseball!
7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win?
An NL West team against Oakland, with Oakland winning in 7 games to finally get Orlando Perez his ring.

Word from the clubhouse is that Arizona SP Jose Chavez has taken strong exception to this list, and is planning on beaning the Mets leadoff hitter with one of his 100mph fastballs on April 23rd...

1. Do you consider this offseason a success? Or did you just tread water?
We made a lot of moves this offseason. 9/25 of our roster are new guys. Traded for INF Jerry Matthews, OF Kevin Edwards, and C Javier Gonzalez to start against lefties and added INF Junior Gonzalez and 3B Kazuyoshi Iwamuto to start against lefties. Also added Rick Mercer to be a power bat in the lineup every day. Our biggest move was trading for Luis Rodriguez after Danny Hayes was injured for the season. I am pleased with the team. Our pitching depth is not great so one injury could derail us but our offense should be even better this year which could make up for it. No longer will we fear LHP's. We embrace them. COME AT ME PADRES 2. When is your team's window to win a title? Why?
Still in the middle of the window. Most of our core is 27-29 so we should be able to keep challenging for the title for the next couple years. 3. Who is the one player in the league you would love to have, but you know you can't?
SP Jhoan Brown. He's simply horrifying. 4. It's been a few years since i asked this, who is currently, your team's biggest rival?
Tossup between Pirates, Padres, and Giants. I dislike them all. If we play the Mets again in the playoffs, they could be added. 5. Which one rookie has the best chance to turn some heads for your team this year?
RP Bill Knox's ratings say he isn't ready but 15 scoreless innings in spring training with 2 walks and 16 K's says otherwise. He will start in the majors and could be the best reliever on the team by the end of the season. Or he could struggle with control and get sent down for another season. 6. Do you own OOTP19? What do you think?
Nope 7. Who will play in this years World Series, and who will win?
I don't get how I can be the hated favorite when y'all never pick me in your preseason predictions to win it all. I'll go with Dodgers over the Rays in 5.

Thanks for the advance notice, i will be sure to bring up a scrub from the minors for this game, inserting into the lead-off spot.
