Just reading my email outlining OOTP19. Not a whole lot changing from what I can see. Any thoughts?

For games where there is an annual release, it makes sense to wait a while before jumping on board. Prices will go down, bugs will be fixed, and if it truly is a better game as a whole and not just the same game with a new cover and design then get it.

Two responses to this. First to answer what do I think of the changes personally? Well from what I have seen advertised so far it looks like love for the online leagues is lacking again. For some reason they do not seem interested in making it any easier to manage online leagues for either Commissioners or GMs. So that is disappointing. They are touting a bunch of interface changes that don't really excite me. I am about the numbers and simulation personally. Fonts and images do not really enhance my experience. But I know they do for some people so more power to them. A brand new overhauled scouting system and screen sounds exciting, but doesn't matter much for PBL with scouting turned off. So I am not necessarily chomping at the bit for the new version.
Second, will PBL convert? I really think we have to get on each new version. Recruiting GMs to old versions is very difficult. If we want to stay relevant we need to keep up. Projecting ahead I think we should be close to Spring Training when the game is first released. Far to late to convert. Which is also a good thing. We need to stay relevant but nothing wrong with waiting for a few bug fix patches to get released before we jump on board.
I think it is safe to say PBL will be on 19 at some point. Likely before the annual Spring Training sale. By my rough estimate we will probably convert after the 2046 season. I am guessing that puts us some time in May. So, if you want to save a few bucks, doing the pre order and holding on to the key until we convert is probably your best bet.
