Yeah really. He is the best player on my team.
Has only 2 years 133 days of service. Not eligible for arbitration until next season.

There were some other players in free agency like this, I don't know if they were solved but I was surprised to stumble upon a very young talented catcher and made him an offer and then realized there must have been a mistake so I rescinded my offer. I don't know what would have caused that.

Possibly Leon Guzman from Seattle was a similar accident?

OOTP18 has some serious issues. It is really taking away from the enjoyment of the game.

I have been wondering this myself, there's nothing to indicate he shouldn't be a Hound

Possibly Leon Guzman from Seattle was a similar accident? Yeah it looks it. He has only 3 years 21 days service.

Although I think you should get him back, Jimenez was arb eligible (he is a super 2) and according to your transaction log he was not offered arb.

That said, it defaults to offering them arbitration unless you choose not to right? And there's no way that Jiminez was deliberately declined for arbitration.

No he was not listed on my arbritration eligible list. If you go back and look at my transactions you will see that on November 12 I signed 6 players to 1 year extensions. Those were the only players other than Patrick Dawson, Antonio Rodriguez, and August Torres on my arbitration list. Jimenez was not listed! In addition Jimenez has the same service time as Jose Garza and Garza was not a free agent.

Here is what I think happened, It looks like Mac signs his arb players to one year contracts rather than go though arb hearing, so he may may have withdrew all and then proceeded to signed then to one year contracts....

2 years and 130 days is typical super 2 status...... he has more than that, also it looks like you signed him to an 3.7M one year extension last year...that may also have messed with something

I banged the drum on this last off-season. It is my theory the game (OOTP 18) isn't to blame, but rather the file we use. Over time, through multiple upgrades, funky things begin to appear while not being connected to any one thing, to make it blatantly difficult to notice/find a solution for. This recent example of Jiminez is in line with what we have noticed in past seasons. Take last year's situation of missing arbitration payouts in the player history page as another example. Just weird, funky, how the fuck do we explain this type of issues that crop up. This is no way to lay blame with anyone. It's a theory, is all. You might call it a bullshit shot in the dark to explain the X files, but so be it. I stand by it.

No I did not decline them! I signed them all before the arbitration deadline. I left the arbitration offers up incase some one did not accept the extension offer. As I said earlier Jimenez was NOT on the list.
