Today marks the day the final Expo in probably a very long time, if ever, will enter the Baseball Hall of Fame. Tim Raines got the call recently after being on the ballot for ten years, this being his last eligible. He is the third, as an Expo, to enter the hall, the others being Gary Carter and Andre Dawson. All three chose to be inducted as Expos even though they all played for other teams in their careers. There are other Expos in the hall of course, but only the three as Expos. And, because the team no longer exists, even if there was to be a new Expos franchise granted in, or relocated to, Montreal (which I really hope happens soon, rather than later - and called the Expos - and wearing the throwback uni's - and, and...), it would likely be decades before another entered Cooperstown. This is a rare day! And, while you're here, although at 44 his time is surely very, very limited...
