BREAKING NEWS
In a new development, the Anaheim Angels have found a new GM, Mac Steckler. Over the past couple of seasons, after resigning from the Montreal Expos, Mac Steckler has been enjoying retirement. He was playing rounds of golf with old baseball pals, playing poker, living the life. But baseball was still on his mind. He had loved being a GM for the Expos, but personal problems got in the way of creating a successful team. He knew it would be better off in the hands of another GM.
After being out of the baseball scene, he started to miss it, he wanted to find a new job. Mr Steckler started the search and found no luck. He started getting down on himself, not thinking he could find a new job, but there was a different plan in the stars for him. After hitting rock bottom he noticed in the news that the Angels did not have a GM anymore. He contacted the owner about a potential opening and the owner said he was interested in Mac Steckler running the Angels. Weeks went by and Mac started to get worried.
He was at Expos game when he received a call, he had never moved from Montreal after falling in love with the city. The call was an unknown number that had a Los Angeles area code. He picked up the phone and said, "Hello, this is Mac Steckler." On the other end was the owner of the Los Angeles Angels, "Hello, Mr. Steckler we have decided to offer you the spot of Los Angeles Angels GM." "Thank you so much, you will not regret this decision." Mac Steckler said.
At the introduction press conference, Mr. Steckler went over his goals. He stated that the Angels are in a good spot right now, they have looked strong this season and he wanted to keep that going. He stated," there are some changes that are needed but those are minor changes. We like what we have here, and want to keep that together. We will make those improvements and create a ball club that reaches the playoffs for years to come."
Mac Steckler looks like a strong choice for the Angels GM spot and will look to keep the club going in the right direction. Welcome to the city of Los Angeles Mac, and go Angels!
