My number 1 draft pick from last season SS Victor Fernandez is no where to be found in my organization. I also searched the entire PBL and he is not listed anywhere. There was no CEI and I can't find any messages in the archives explaining where he went. At the end of last season he was about the #5 prospect in system. Where is he? ?

Oh wow. He's marked down as retired. God's honest truth it says he quit baseball to pursue a basketball career.

This has happened to me twice in my other league. Both top 10 prospects. One literally the season I was going to put him in the majors. Just brutal.

How would he be considered a free agent eligible to sign with any other team like it says in the attached???
He should be the property of Carolina for 5 seasons !!!!!!!!
I hope the asswipe enjoys his basketball career in New York. Knicks suck Go Celtics.
Breathing deeply now.......Hey at least I'm in 1st place!!! How about that!
edit: Re-reading - it said he is a free agent in basketball and not in baseball which makes a bit more sense. But it doesn't make me any happier.

I think it means he's a basketball free agent.

I think it means he's a basketball free agent. Yea your right. I should sue him to get my signing bonus back. Is that a thing?

I'd be curious to see if he comes back after a season or two

Why couldn't they write it into the game he becomes a two sport athlete?
We have had baseball and football dual players. Basketball and baseball would make sense too.
Really sucks for this to happen, especially to a top 1st rounder and a minor league .300 hitter. I feel for you man!

I bet no one but me remembers: Gene Conley - Baseball & Basketball
Conley pitched for the Braves, Phillies, and Red Sox and also played power forward for the Celtics and Knicks. Also, in the late '40s Chuck Connors had cups of coffee in MLB and the BAA (pre-NBA). Connors was the first basketball player credited with breaking a backboard. I remember Connors as as The Rifleman, but not as an athlete.

Don't forget Danny Ainge played for the Blue Jays. Absolutely! How could I forget? He was a favorite of mine when he played in the NBA and now as GM and President of the Celtics. Go Celtics!
