Thank you Tim, I really appreciate It! Now if I could get someone from a major media outlet to retweet/share it...then I could get the blue checkmark next to my name! Why isn't Paramount Baseball a major media outlet? I got almost 19,000 posts on this forum damn it! LMAO I can honestly say that this league got my creative juices flowing again and inspired me to get back to doing what I love.

So you will be angling for the Cardinals GM position, should it ever open up?

Sean, that is awesome.
I will say this league got me motivated to begin working on some other ideas I had planned in the past before as well.

So you will be angling for the Cardinals GM position, should it ever open up? I really wanted the position but I need to finish what I started in Cincinnati before I even consider moving on to a new challenge. Plus, the Cardinals seem to have a GM now that has been in the league and brought some consistency there.

I know, some of you are thinking "Really? An article about a 15th round draft pick?" Terry Fuller isn't your average 15th rounder. Many teams thought that he would go to Alabama or Auburn on a football scholarship but he surprised the baseball world when he signed yesterday with the Cardinals. This guy has serious power, like he just broke the record for the longest hr by an amateur in the same showcase where Bryce Harper had previously held the record. archcitysports.com/2017/06/23/cardinals-go-for-power-with-15th-round-selection-terriez-fuller/

Another excellent article, Sean. Thanks for sharing.
I forwarded the link to my die-hard Cardinals friends - raised in the St. Louis area and now living on the coast of Oregon.

Sean did you read this? The Cardinals “float[ed]” a trade proposal for Sonny Gray before the Athletics shipped him to the Yankees, according to MLB Network’s Ken Rosenthal. In concept, at least, St. Louis would have considered sending young outfielder Stephen Piscotty to Oakland along with a promising starter (Luke Weaver or Jack Flaherty), though it seems talks never got going. Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch looks closer at the Cards’ lack of action on deadline day. Top baseball decisionmaker John Mozeliak acknowledged “a level of frustration” that nothing got done, though he also said the team wasn’t inclined to make deals just for the sake of action. Ultimately, momentum never built toward a deal for Lance Lynn, and the club’s other chatter never materialized into a trade. You’ll want to peruse the lengthy column for all the details.

I had a feeling his name would be included in talks so that was part of the reason I did the article, I didn't want that interview to go to waste. Thanks for sharing that, I saw the original article but it's definitely interesting how these real life talks go down. I really don't think it's all that different than what many of our talks are like to an extent.

I'm really glad they turned that down. I think the Cardinals do need to trade some of their OF prospects, but I don't think keeping their pitching is a bad thing. Piscotty has been dealing with a lot, and I don't think they would've signed him to the extension they did if they didn't believe he was worth it. Very interesting article for sure though.
