In sad news, Sotan Kono and Roberto Vasti both decided to retire this off-season and so all that is left is the debate.
Who is #1, who is #2 or do we just say 1A and 1B as best of all time?

My opinion is fairly well documented so I will restate as briefly as I can. In the measures that the Hall loves, specifically the counting stats for Home Runs and RBIs (and to a lesser extent, career AVG), Kono is better. In literally every other way (whether SABRmetric or other counting stats) Vasti is better. When you answer this question you're not answering which player is better, you're stating which criteria you value most.

Everyone should vote for Giralldo Croner for Hall of Fame and we should apologize to him that he's had to wait.
He has 98.6 career WAR! He was arguably the best leadoff man of his era and was the best defensive outfielder in the league for years. The last decade or so of his career hurt his rate stats---but his peak with Seattle, Minnesota and early in his stint with Colorado he was a menace. I hated going against him. Vote Croner!

ERICK BLASCO!
The greatest agitator and historian this league has ever seen. What a random week to see Erick, Sam and Adam all poking their heads around. To the newcomers, these are three GMs that were HUGE in the beginning days of the league.
