Theres a sports business club starting up at my school, and I want to do an online league for it and be the commish. However I have no clue on how to do the FTP stuff, how to setup a site(like paramountbaseball.net), and stuff like that. Does anyone have any clue how to do it, and is there a way to do it for free?

The website/forum stuff are pretty basic to set up. I can't speak for this league but I paid about $10 a month for my website, there is no way to do it for free and run a successful league. If you want to hear more, let me know.

Makes sure especially in the beginning you leave yourself about 2-3 hours daily to take care of league activities especially in the beginning when youre learning the ropes of running a league and always always ALWAYS make sure to backup the league files especially prior to running a sim incase something goes wrong!

Well we would just be doing the simming at school during lunch and stuff, and I wouldn't have 2 hours to do that

This thread makes me appreciate the Commissioner and his league! ANY Commissioner and ANY league. Thank you.

Yeh definitely give you time to do it. Once you get going you can run a sim and do reports fairly quickly (**IF** there are no trades, disputes, drafts, etc.) but in the beginning if you are going for realism its going to take time. When people join a league they want it to be realistic or provide some type of depth. When I created the PBL, it was extremely important to have accurate rosters, people questioned market sizes and budgets and fixing contracts. The only thing I didn't mess with and never will are player ratings Also I would HIGHLY recommend joining Allsimbaseball.com as they host leagues and Fidel knows what he is doing and he will set you up great. Do not try to do it free, too much going on with files, reports, images, etc. Its also going to take OOTP online newbies time to get set up, etc.. One of the first few sims I ran in PBL, look at how many changes I made in one sim to make sure contracts were accurate ( HERE)

Well we would just be doing the simming at school during lunch and stuff, and I wouldn't have 2 hours to do that You could do the actual simming and uploading during lunch, assuming your internet connection is decent. But then also be prepared to do other commish jobs at home during the night as our commish pointed out earlier.
