Anyone watch the game last night between Cardinals and Cubs? Cubs tied the game and in the 11th Rizzo walked with the bases loaded and 2 outs! That's their 10th win in a row! I'm trying not to get my hopes up about this team but holy moley! I've been a fan of the Cubs since 1988 and have watched all the disappointing teams we have had since then. I am beyond excited to watch the 2016 team of young kids playing this game with passion and tenacity. Love the trade for Chapman! Finally have a closer who can bring some heat! I'm inspired to build my PBL team like the Cubs have done. Be patient and bring up young guys. It's tempting to try and sign the big name free agents or trade away young guys for vets (already did that once or twice this season) but going to try and stay the course by building from within. #Trynot2suck

As many have said...pick a strategy, and stick to it. Don't change up half way there. Don't deviate it, and don't half ass one direction, and half ass another direction. Stick to a plan, and you probably will succeed

Stick to a plan, and you probably will succeed He's right and here's your plan---no plan! Shoot from the hip! If it feels good do it! We're good GMs so you gotta keep us on our toes. So switch up the plan entirely about every half season, alternating from going for it kinda to waiting patiently kinda. This is the only way you can have the track record I have---I've been slightly above .500 for 20 years so I think I know a thing or two about how to consistently stay alright. Heed my advice young Cub. Ps I'm the most sarcastic bastard in this league

I hope a few pitches just happen to rise up at Rizzo and Bryant's hands the rest of the series. I'm tired of seeing the Cubs complain about getting hit but then consistently throwing inside with no concern toward other teams players. They've done this to the Brewers, Pirates, Reds and Cardinals. And I will enjoy beating a Cubs fan. The Central runs through Cincinnati.

I bet it burns to have Chapman pitching for the Cubbies. Maybe just a little?

I bet it burns to have Chapman pitching for the Cubbies. Maybe just a little? What "burns" is a team that has done "nothing" that gets the calls of a veteran winning club. No doubt they have a lot of talent! In all seriousness though, I hope you do well. I'd love to have someone in the Central to compete with.

Well I'll be 2 years before I can compete with your team, at least. I am hoping for 2 years but I will be happy if I am competitive by the start of the 3rd season.
I agree that was a strike last night. I was surprised that the ump didn't call it a strike given the ramifications of calling it a ball. A pitch that close in that situation....Rizzo should have swung at that one. But that's baseball and that's why we love it.
I do take exception to you saying they have done nothing. I think you mean they haven't won anything in a long time or that they are not vets so they shouldn't get the calls you would give to veteran players. This team though is very very good. Best record in baseball. Best home record in baseball. Best offense in baseball. I would argue best starting pitching staff in baseball. Hell, even Kyle Freaking Hendricks their 5th starter has an ERA of 2.15 and double digit wins. He could challenge for the Cy Young. Won't get it but he is not pitching like a 5th starter. Now with Chapman and his 100mph+ fastball this team is loaded and loaded for a long time to come. The entire team is comprised of kids. So they have done something this season...owned the National League.

I don't think you should be getting calls that veterans get when you haven't had success in the playoffs. Regular season numbers are nice but come on man, we all know that the post season is what matters!
