Are there bugs with the 40 man and player options years?
I have an international player (Juan Diaz) that was signed to a minor league contract in 2035 at the age of 16. After only three years he became eligible for the 2038 Rule 5 Draft (which I thought was 5 years for players signed under 18, so I lost 2 years of non 40 man player time) so I protected him last year. This spring he was placed on the spring roster by the computer since he was on the 40 man, and now he is shown as being out of minor league options. WTF!! Worst case he should have 2 years left since he was on the minors last year for more than 20 days.

I believe it's four years for under 18's? A year longer than the three for older players?
Can't speak to the rest of the problem other than if any player is on the 40, they will be called up for ST.

I have an 18 year old 1B Veras that is showing up as Rule V eligible as well.

I have an 18 year old 1B Veras that is showing up as Rule V eligible as well. He's a different situation (in my opinion). He's not on your 40-Man. Obviously an invite to ST (the 60 players allowed). Has all his options left. Has three years of pro service (which is because he was traded three seasons ago and likely pulled out of the International roster). Once he's pulled out of INT in a trade, the clock starts. He WILL be four years at the end of this coming season, so for the next Rule 5 (now December) will indeed be eligible (four years), so it just shows that now, but won't mean anything until December. I have a few older players like that too. WILL be eligible in December, but showing that now.

I'm more baffled by him being out of options...that makes no sense

Regardless of where we were, I strongly feel having the Rule 5 in December this season is a HUGE step forward in solving some of these issues in future.
Thanks for being open to that change everyone!
