Just want to remind everybody not to sign Free Agent SS-Frazier, i already PM the commish about it, the issue here is that i made a deal with he A's a while back to acquire his services paramountbaseball.proboards.com/thread/9524/cardinals-athletics
But he was automatically released by the game and then he signed with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, sorry for the delay on this but this was highlighted to me by the Rays GM, i just completely forgot about it plus it all happened so fast i didn't even realize, so i would appreciate if no one signed him and let the Commish put him back on my team** COMMISSIONER EDIT: Frazier CAN be signed by any team, the ruling has been explained below in detail**

For me, the true takeaway is that Estevao makes so many trades he literally forgets who is on his team, even elite prospects

That may be truth back then because it was my first online league and i barely knew how to export and some of that stuff that's the biggest reason i didn't notice

I agree here that this is something that happened almost one year ago in-game date.. There really isn't a good enough excuse to lose a prospect like this and not know about it for so long. As much fun as you having doing it, I do think your obsession with trading is going to continue to hurt you ability to rebuild the Cardinals. You are too focused on making trades that you're forgetting prospects, not signing draft picks, etc.
I'm not comfortable letting Frazier go back to the Cardinals roster because of this. He will continue to be a FA and if you wish to retain his services then you can bid for him with the other 31 teams.
There has to be some accountability and a line needs to be drawn. I'll use Chris Thornton as a reference again, the guy is about to make $200 MILLION in free agency, the Warhounds could of signed him to a Minor League Free Agent deal and had him cheap for a LONG TIME but they went away and didn't get it done. Should I allow him to keep Thornton because he missed it?

Commish i'm ok with not having him back but i was expecting some more understanding, i had just gotten in the league, it was one of my first online leagues i barely knew how to export and setup the file stuff like that and by that i said it would be fair to have him on my team since the game took him away, let me give you an example if you leave your home and you get robbed, and you only realize that a long time later you still want your money back and you'll demand it back if you have the opportunity to do it, so to me time shouldn't prevent anything from happening and on this case i didn't made anything the game auto released him

Three days ago my brother called me and asked to borrow $20 for gas. Against my better judgement, I filled his tank myself so he could drive to his appointment with MassHealth in Springfield on Monday. Yesterday he texted me that they needed Toilet Paper, Paper Towels - I accomodated him. Later last night he texted me they had no food and a long story about his Girlfriend/Fiance check was only $67, but she was getting an $800 check next week and he could "pay me back." I brought food some food over. She has an 11-year old son and I don't want him to suffer anymore than he has. Earlier this week my cousin called me concerned because he was receiving similar requests and was getting a bit tired of it. I advised him not to give him any money, but some food - within reason if they needed it. Unfortunatley for me - He heeded my advice because now I am getting the calls. I have not seen or heard from my brother in over a year, neither has my father. In fact there has been very little contact since my mom died almost 2 years ago. About 15 years ago I owned a nice house, put a ton of work into it and would have made a fortune if I kept it. I had a good job, new car and a pain in the ass girlfriend...over the course of a 3-5 year stretch my brother got into drugs, was arrested and served a bit of time. At his arraignment, he pleaded down and was given probation and some other crap. I will never forget him looking at my parents and uttering his gratitude. "I shouldn't have gotten anything, that lawyer sucked." Soon after, my mother bought him a car (used) so he could go to and from work, thats just how she was. She would've taken a bullet for anyone. He lived in there home rent free and did nothing . He stole my parents retirement and to this day, I have not recovered financially, I was forced to sell my home among other things so my parents could keep theirs. At the time, you could get loans much easier (before housing market collapsed). Now my wife and I are starting to make headway, BUT - we have busted our asses, made more sacrifices than I care to list...Because I was held accountable for being a part of the enabling process. I blame it on myself and the fact he was not held accountable by me or my family...My mother would give him money full well where it was going. He didn't and still doesn't appreciate a damn thing. Him and his girlfriend are being evicted and are forced to move into her mothers 1 Bedroom apartment.
I will extend a "hand" to anyone that needs it if I can do it. A bit of food, ect I don't mind, BUT - he needs to help himself and show some improvement, he's off to a bad start. I know deep down he won't change, but I hold out a microscopic bit of hope he will because it would be great to see. Those are my thoughts on accountability...Emax made a mistake, but I bet he won't make that mistake again!! Thanks for reading/listening to my rant, but I thought it was a good way of making a point. With that said, Derek has always been fair and consistent when handing down rulings, making league decisions, ect. I think he nailed it here too.

Just letting everyone know that whether or not the Commish gives me Frazier back or not i'm fine with either way i may disagree but nothing that will generate any sort of issue later, and despite what everyone thinks i know exactly what i'm doing everymove i make has a purpose

Max, I appreciate your efforts in this league and I went into this with an open mind but I feel very confident in my initial decision. Your attempt at explaining had a few holes for me and did nothing to reassure my decision but I appreciate your dedication to the league and trying to fight for what you believe in.
If I don't know how to swim, I don't dive off the the diving board into the deep end of a pool. The beauty of the PBL and a reason for its long tenure is veteran GMs of the PBL and expert OOTP guys are always willing to give a hand and teach the way. I suggest this with all the new guys. You came on board and went from 0-100 immediately and in the process you missed out on things (losing a good prospect, signing draft picks) and that really is only caused by negligence where as I said your diving when you can't swim yet.
If my home was robbed and I filed an insurance claim and then an entire calendar year went by (like it has in game) and I went back to the insurance agency and said "hey I been working a lot and haven't been in my kids bedroom in a while so I just noticed his Xbox is missing" do you know what they are going to tell me? They will say its too late the claim has been closed now piss off.
If you came to me before mentioned it, I would of been more than happy to fix but after this lapse in time, accountability needs to be on the table and this sets a terrible precedent if I were to change it so the decision must stand.

Mike,
We had a few chats in the past in regards to your situation and I want to say how much I respect you for the trouble you went through for your family and the soft spot you still carry for your brother. I went through a very similar thing that I somewhat documented but its such a hard battle and its hard to determine how far you can go with your life and your family to save others in your family. Its a very difficult decision and one you dealt with to the best of your ability and thats praise worthy.
Its insane to me but if everyone put down what happened to them since joining the PBL, the list would be pretty incredible. What a fun distraction we created here!

It's a wonderful community, like a family. Some are very active in the family group, some drift in & out and some only come in at meal time. Some look after their toys, some share them, some won't let anyone even touch them while some leave them lying everywhere and expect Derek to pick them up and return them to the toy cupboard.
Some chat a lot, some chime in occasionally and some only complain after not speaking. We all respect each other although we do have blazing rows at times
Welcome to the PBL family
