Things we have discussed:
1) Teams can now build new stadiums 2) I'm working on potential ideas on stadium upgrades - not sure yet. 3) I'm working on potential relocation ideas. This deep into a league I like the idea of change and keeping it fresh and so I got some ideas. Will present soon!

Question for the league: ** Should we raise player salaries. Here is a list of current salary levels as well as avg. team profit, etc. ** At least raise Minimum salary to 500k. Turn on International free agents (July signing period) which will help use up some money. Scouting may need to be turned on im not sure.

I still like nickname changes if it makes sense (would need to be approved by the commissioner) since St. Louis is so against me changing the Braves name I wanna do it even more now!!!!! Atlanta Flames, all the way!

How about feeder leagues for better draft classes?

If someone could assist me in setting up a feeder league, I am 110% for this. I love knowing each sim we can actually scout for this year AND next.

Rob got his information from me (its also easier implementing feeder leagues in a fresh league) Its all trial and error, I can try and help you again Derek.

I would raise minimum salary and all other salaries to be honest. 25% across the board.

I agree with a minimum salary of $500k (and the 25% adjustment). Also, I like the idea of using feeder leagues.
The ideas Derek proposed regarding stadium construction and upgrades are terrific. In the short-term, I do not plan to make any changes, but I support the concept.
I support the relocation and name change possibilities, too; however, name changes would have to be realistic. I have competed in many leagues where GM's have used ridiculous, unrealistic team names; they really turn me off. If we allow relocation it seems that we also would need to allow team names that differ from actual MLB team names.
Regarding the off-season schedule, I think we should sim one week at at time from November through January to enable GM's to bid on free agents and respond to messages during the period of heavy free agent negotiations. To maintain interest and engagement, I think we should sim almost every day (about two weeks IRL) and then back off to two weeks up to opening day. The timing of the transition from one week to two weeks would be whatever makes sense.
Of course Derek needs a day off from time to time, so we should have some off days. For the GM's who are not actively bidding on free agents the sims would require minimal to no action. The bottom line is that I think we should provide GM's with an opportunity to bid and respond to free agents while moving the off-season along at a fairly rapid pace.
Thoughts?

I really like all the ideas being proposed and to touch real brief on possible relocation, my thinking is I would provide a list of 5-10 cities for the GM to choose from. Once that City has been selected then I think we could do something like have the GM come up with a name idea he likes and I will come up with 2 more that fit the cities history/tradition. Perhaps then put it to a vote or incorporate it into part of the equation.
I hate the idea of terrible names but I do love the idea of change. Approaching our 20th season, we need to change or risk becoming very stagnant and not having many interested people.
