If the San Francisco Giants want Mr. Josh Rupe back they can have him. He's lost out to all the other mediocre pitchers I brought in before the season began. Otherwise I guess he gets released and becomes a FA? Not really sure.

Otherwise I guess he gets released and becomes a FA? Not really sure. I think if Rupe is refused, he gets put on waivers. If he isn't claimed, he's all yours and can be demoted to the minors. His Rule-V status will be eliminated and he'll be just like any other member of your minor leagues.

From the league governance page it says
To Return players Post the player's name that you want to return in the Rule 5 Returns thread The commish will release the player (you will be charged for his contract) and then manually edit him onto the AAA team of the organization that he is being returned to with a minor league contract.
I'm more than happy to have him back on a minor league contract if you want to do this. Thanks
