Paramount Baseball League State of the League release
PBL Main Office July 19, 2010 -- The 2010 'PBL' season is officially underway and despite a few hiccups on the way, I can not be more pleased with the results. As your all aware, we had a setback with the file but was able to fix that in a timely manner thanks to the contributions from many of you.
I think the most important topic to begin this first 'State of the League' release has to be you, the owners. As I mentioned so many times before, the owners are the pulse of the league and the original core of owners we have right now could arguably be one of the most fun, active, helpful and involved group in a startup league in a while. I just want to thank each and everyone one of you for your involvement and your patience as we try to fix all those hiccups.
Second topic worth mentioning is league reports. Took some patience to follow each step through but I think I got it under control and I expect to post updated League Reports the following day of each sim. With the later sim time and early work hours, it makes most sense for me to get the file out as quickly as possible and when I get into work the next morning, I can set it up to upload the most recent reports.
The first release of League Reports are now out, but I only did the Major Leagues as I was experimenting on getting it working correctly and did not want to take a few hours on an upload that was not going to work.
League Reports can be found on the home page, on the left hand side under the Main menu. The direct link is here: paramountbaseball.net/game/lgreports/news/html/
The Paramount Baseball Official Home Page is also up and running thanks to the Braves for taking control of the site. We will be adding more content soon and I encourage everyone to post articles on the forum and they will be moved to the site. If you want 'exclusive' content on the site and not on the forum then please submit articles via PM to me or the Braves and we will get them on the home page. I think that will be fun as well so it makes the home page worth going to often.
The Inaugural PBL 2010 Selection Draft is officially underway as we seen the Washington Nationals take Bryce Harper (17 year old catching phenom) first overall. The pace has been going very nice and I am hoping we keep that going.
The next order of business is moving the forums to the one provided with the Paramount Baseball Home Page. I will be working on that tonight and tomorrow (July 19-20) and should have it up very shortly.
I hope your all enjoying your time as members of the PBL and look forward to hearing any ideas, comments, complaints, suggestions you come up with. We had many so far and all have been useful.
Thank You
