1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season? I think it went about as expected. We are a very young team, so we went through some growing pains at times. Losing Alejandro Garcia for a large part of the season was a key factor to him getting back in playing shape for the post season.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why? I am going to have to go with Home Runs going up. Mostly with the addition of Manny Rivera, but we have a lot of young power hitters that could really hit their stride this season.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities? Finances for this year are great, but they start to get real tight after this year. We have a lot of money in development, so we may have to pull out of that next season. We may have to trade a player or two even if we don't want to. The goal is to extend as many stars as possible, but keep enough depth around them, so if we have to deal a star with a large salary we have a man ready to go. Doesn't always work out like that, as we may have to trade away some of our really good depth this year to keep a star or vice versa.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history? Paul Burke. Even though he is not the most approachable guy in the clubhouse, there is no denying how consistently good he is. If this team is going to be a dominate force, he will be the main guy behind it.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad? 1B Jin Daikawa. I honestly think this kid has HOF potential. He might be one of the most exciting prospects I have ever had. I know he's a first baseman, but he just keeps getting better and better and his bat continues to progress towards massive offensive power.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason? Any team in my division can win the World Series in my opinion. I love 2B prospect Zack Davis and I would have preferred to keep him and his smaller salary then trade him away, but we feel like we can win now, so trading for Manny Rivera was the right thing to do. We were very content with being patient with what we had, but with how good the other teams are, we had to grow a little impatient and make a move for a proven ML player.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be? CF Makalani Korra (TEX). Ummmm...how could you not want him?! Generational talent.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...? Gonna go with an arrogant answer, but I really think this Houston team is ready to take it all this year. Houston beats Milwaukee in 6.
Bonus questions...
What do you love most about Duane Hansen? His charity work and healing he brings to the world.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment? That time he hit that really important home run.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen? Newly acquired Manny Rivera.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win? Duane Hansen already won before you could even ask the question.

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
We could not really pitch all that the well. The offense was fine. Until Detroit gets some reasonable consistent SP, 80-85 wins is the best we can hope for.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
Hoping the defense is better than last year. Mostly since I think we will have players who can catch the ball.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
Funny you should ask. Detroit had an owner goal to make $20 million last year and the Detroit market shrank (they are all moving to Mil to watch the Brewers) and we were just a bit off. So the budget was cut $8 million in Nov and another $4 million in Feb. Dave Baker was signed last year, so repairs are in order before we need to deal with some of the current younger players.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
Baker has been the best player on the team the last three years and should continue this year.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
3B Luis Martinez - My excitement for what he can do is only exceeded by my fear of screwing up his development. He blasted 34 HR's in 72 games at A ball before going up to AA and hitting another 29 in 71 games. He is 9/10 on power and I am hoping to get that last tick.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
See question #3. We got some bullpen help.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
Kenny Ibarra - Durable, plenty of good years left. Had the highest BABIP of his career last year and still was great.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
Astros over the Padres in 6.
Bonus questions...
What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
Not much, but I never met the man
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
When we played the Rockies and he was on his only DL stint since I joined the league.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
Travis Cochrane
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?
Depends, if Norris gets within three feet he is toast. But Hansen does have 1 Range and a 1 Arm....

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
The 2057 squad may have been my best ever by regular season performance. We returned every relevant producer from that squad in 2058. We finished 14 wins and 18 WAR worse. So not great.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
Average age should be down quite a bit. Chris Allen retired, and Alonso Bravo and Tony Padilla made way for new blood. My five top rated prospects are in AAA or the PBL now, so a long overdue youth movement is on its way.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
If I'm good at one thing in this league it's not getting into financial trouble. A good owner helps, but despite a pretty lame fanbase we have the second highest budget. My goal is to get that playoff money flowing and overtake the Yankees for #1.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
It's been Jose Varquez for the last three years, and he's the defending NL MVP, so hard to go against that. His history is I threw a ton of money at him in IFA because his potential reminded me of Robin Johnson if Robin Johnson was a gold glove 3B instead of a mediocre fielding catcher. It took him a little while to figure it out, but over the last three years he's averaged 8.5 WAR, so I'm not complaining.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
Dan Gallaghe was a supplemental pick in 2055 who exploded in potential a while back. Still just shy of 22 and has a major league arsenal already. Only question is if his control gets there. If it does I have a lefty ace that combines 100 mph heat with extreme groundball tenancies for the foreseeable future.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
I generally don't let what other team's are doing dictate my strategy, but I have had years where I could wait on prospects because I could cruise to a NL South title. That is not the case at the moment.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
Raul Ferrer needs to fire his agent, that's all I'll say about that. Though given my positional situation Korra is probably the correct answer.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
Rangers over Brewers in 5. What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
That he spent his entire career in the AL.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
His GM flipping out when a case of gout literally wrecked him.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
He and Raymond Page must share a trainer or something because they've both aged exceptionally well. I will point out that Sheep is on 12 all-time batting leaderboards, while Minooka Mike is only on 10. If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?
Trick question, Duane is Chuck Norris reincarnated. I suppose he could attempt to fight with his inner self, but I don't think it's safe for mere mortals to be around if that happens.

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
Not exciting by any means, but the team performed as expected...badly. The key factors in the season primarily evolved around continued development and trying to figure out which players will stick around after more of our prospects start graduating from the system. Last season was the 3rd year of intentionally trying to suck, so hopefully this season will start seeing some of our prospects graduate to the PBL.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
I'll go with bullpen era for two reasons. I think our rotation is better this year, and there are some upgrades in the bullpen. Hopefully the starters will go deeper into games and not wear the pen down as much as last year.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
Some would say surprisingly good. Next year will be even better, so who knows we might even be a player in the free agent market next offseason? Yes, that was a question.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
Well, some Commissioner removed the guaranteed player from every team to the All-Star game but thankfully we have this question to highlight an overlooked Reds player that might be able to help you with your playoff push. Will it be the often asked about, but then told all of his flaws OF Zach Duke? Not so fast my friend(s)! I'm going to go with another OF option who is one year removed from a 2.7 WAR season, Bill McKeown. With everyday playing time available in Cincinnati, McKeown has an opportunity to produce and maybe find his way onto another club by seasons end.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
Tony Green has the potential to be an everyday corner outfielder, but as a shortstop could be one of the top players in the league at the position. Detroit's SS Inagaki is the only active SS in the league with over 6 contact and 8 power. That's high praise. Green will start the year at AA Carolina, and I'll continue to be closely monitoring his development. I'm curious to see if his position change does anything to his prospect rating too.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
I mean, after Milwaukee's rebuild it made the decision to rebuild easier. The tricky part is taking that step out of a rebuild to competing again. Getting stuck in that middle area around .500 is the worst place you can be, and as a Bears fan I can tell you it is pretty bad. Oh and if you can't draft a QB, that makes it really really bad.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
I'm going to go with a guy that despite his domination, I believe doesn't get the respect he truly deserves. PHI SP Francisco Rivera. One area that I'm still trying to fill is that true dominating ace, and Rivera would fit that role. Not to mention, his contract is extremely reasonable. Yes, I realize the guy has back to back Cy Young Awards, but really I can't say enough about him. Or I did in 1 paragraph, you decide.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
Houston in 6 over Milwaukee. Astros pitching is the deciding factor for me.
Bonus questions... What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
I like that he's won championships, but the thing I like most is that he's 69 HR away from being the all-time PBL leader.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
71 bombs in 2045.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
There's probably not going to be anyone in the PBL, let alone Cincinnati, to ever be close to Hansen again.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?
Although some speculate that the exit velocity off of some of Duane's home runs is close to the speed of light, it has indeed been confirmed that Chuck Norris' foot did move faster than the speed of light while roundhouse kicking thus meaning Duane would not see the kick coming and Chuck wins.

1.Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
That went well. The goal was to reach the playoffs either by the wild card (most likely) or maybe (but far more unlikely I thought) by winning the division. Then to have the playoff run we did and come oh so close to winning the whole thing was a bit of a dream. The team really was a sum greater than it's constituent parts and the pitching was very solid (though helped by a stellar defense).
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
I'd be worried about our team FIP as our underlying pitching isn't that great in truth. Otherwise the band is mostly back together so I'm hoping for more of the same.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
Interesting one this. The playoff run definitely helped and our owner has responded by putting an additional $12m into the budget so that really helps. Even after extending Vasquez and Sato we're projecting a healthy profit so we could still make some mid season tactical additions if needed.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
I'm going to say Eli Hickman who is in his final contract year and looking to get paid. He's become one of the stellar outfielders in the league after we traded with Arizona for him (Dotson was a make up piece in that deal!) and, with the honourable exception of base stealing, can do it all.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
Our top prospect is Wayne Dorsett but in truth we've been disappointed with his overall pace of development and he hasn't really delivered on that promise to date. Long term the jury is still out as to whether he projects to be with the team.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
Not much in truth. We have a couple of minor holes (2B primarily) but by and large I don't base my strategy around what other teams in my division may or may not do. Colorado have been our main competitors so I take a look when they make a move but by and large I stick to the mantra about worrying abut the aspects that I can control.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
Claudio Valenzuela of Texas would fit us like a glove.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
Milwaukee over Texas in 5
Bonus questions... What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
I love nothing about Duane Hansen as he's a driving force behind our main divisional rivals. There is huge respect and admiration - but no love.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
It's still to come and it will be when he retires. In fact we'd willingly contribute to his pension for him to go now.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
No one comes close.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?
I f he had a bat then Duane would easily win. Without it I'd take Norris

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season? I did mention that I changed my team strategy for 2058, in two distinct ways, and I am going to continue to believe that I am on a new path to success, though it is barely discernible after 2058. In the history books, a monumental leap from 54 wins in '57 to 59 wins in '58 does not seem to suggest success... And while we were initially projected to take a monumental financial leap from $88M to $91M, that seemed to evaporate and we are again projecting even less budget going forward. How much of a plan is debatable, but it is a plan and I'm sticking to it.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?Gate Revenue. And not so much an expectation as a hope. if we can throw a few more wins on the board, as our youth develops, and our revenue surpasses our expenses, then it's all good.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?Part of our strategy last year was to invest in development more heavily and "hope" the talent on the field develops and translates to wins, which would then translate to budget increases, and finally get this franchise pointed in the right direction. As mentioned above, focusing on youth and development, while avoiding free agency, and concentrating on more wins will hopefully translate in revenues exceeding expenses.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?Because relievers are the highest potential group in Montreal, and having relievers as your elite talent doesn't seem like a great model, I am going to go with veteran RF Jeffrey Jones. His line of .274/.329/.528 with 168 hits, 92 runs, and 38 homers, producing 3.1 WAR last season, were career numbers and another level in his career. If he can put those numbers up again and drag a few more players along with him, it may overshadow the bullpen!
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?#1 prospect SP Martin Herrera is going to be pushed up to AAA this season to hopefully level up. He looks elite, but has the curse of a 1/9 "changeup". I am hoping that OOTP developments in pitching will make that actually develop when we move to 22? IF that ever fully developsl, he could front any rotation for as long as he wants! IF it receives even a couple of bumps and becomes a useful third pitch, he will front OUR rotation until his arm falls off! IF it stays where it is, he could still be an elite closer! IF, as often happens, his third pitch just increases over time to meet declining primary pitches, while his ratings regress to mediocrity, I may actually cry...
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this off-season?This is a very interesting question for the NL East. Another management change in New York may impact their success this season, though the preseason predictions suggest otherwise. Both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia projected at or near .500 is good for us, if accurate. On one hand that may open the door to our being in the mix. On the other hand, if playing Montreal regularly is primarily responsible for the success of those three, then it may be another long season north of the border.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?Dan Turner from Philadelphia, if only once again to highlight the absurdity that he would account for more than half our budget.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?Not the Expos. 100% confidence is that result.
Bonus questions... What do you love most about Duane Hansen? With all due love and respect for his glorious achievements... He's 41, Wrecked, and finally has slowly declining potential, which means he will soon be out of the league.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment? He's 41, Wrecked, and finally has slowly declining potential... Yet this past season: - Played in all 162 games
- Had 149 RBIs (his second best season ever)
- Had 63 HRs (his third best season ever)
- Still hit over .300
- Still exceeded 1.000 OPS
- Posted a 7.3 WAR
I'm filing a BUG REPORT...
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?RP Dustin Helms - Only because his initials are D.H.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season? I expected Cleveland to win the AL Central. I didn't expect Cleveland to win 99 games. With the White Sox breathing down our necks we needed every win. Key was a surprise ROY campaign by John Sellers, solid production from the bottom of the rotation and very good defensive play.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
I don't expect to repeat our 3.48 team ERA. The pitching staff was nearly injury free. We were lucky.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
I won't lie to you. Money is tight in Cleveland. Our primary financial goal is to make the playoffs because if we don't Mr. Phelps will not be pleased. It'$ $afe to $ay hi$ vi$ion for the franchi$e differ$ from my own.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history? If he stays healthy Kip Blue has the inside track. Any pitcher who contributes 20 wins deserves an award or two. If Kipyard stumbles we have three young guys, Sellers, Wook-jin Ki and Dan Nicholson who are poised for some great years.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad? We are extremely high on CF Alonso Castillo. He's the lead-off hitter we've been looking for. He should be a fixture at Pickard Field for many years to come. Oh crap. Is it too late to edit this? 6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason? The AL Central has very savvy GMs who are building some very good teams. When you're up against these guys the only viable strategy is to get better in every phase of the game, every year. 7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?Duane has ten good years left but Colorado gets prickly every time I mention him. So it has to be Korra. 8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?Some Texas team against the Brewers. I'll go with the American League team to win it. Bonus questions... What do you love most about Duane Hansen?Duane Hanson is the Wyld Stallyns of sports. What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment? When he fought though Pinkygate and hit 128s HRs the next two years. That is not a misprint. Cleveland takes no credit for our role in improving Duane's stroke, but we do know how to develop players.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?I think it would have to be me, on his human side. Live long and prosper, buddy! If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?Norris has no answer for Duane's Platinum Sticks of Death.

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
2058 was just a jinxed season. Injuries to key offensive contributors Kanegawa and O'Brien did not help anything but the negative 10ish pythag really told the story.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
Starter ERA will likely regress. A staff of middle of the rotation guys was not done any favors by trading away the two best. Silva was having a fantastic season when he was moved mid season to Texas. He struggled a bit after the trade but his impact to the Miami starters ERA before the move was significant. Justin Miller also enjoyed one very nice season in South Beach but he's been shipped off to the White Sox. The staffs hopes now lie in 29 year old Don Goode who has been on the fence of viable major league contributor for a few seasons. This is his make or break season. Either he's a quality starter or he's not. This season will decide it.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
I have spent the last six seasons aggressively investing in the active roster, pushing up the ticket prices and growing the budget. I emptied out my farm, pulled all possible dollars out of PD, scouting and draft budget and sunk every dollar possible into active roster salaries. I'm going to call 3 playoff appearances and moving from the 30th sized budget to the 17th wins. But the house of cards is wobbling at the base. Winning the lottery for the #1 pick last season encouraged me to pivot back to my old school ways. Gone for the moment are the days of trading specs and picks for guys in their 30s. I think I can remain competitive enough with what I have to keep the budget plateaued until I can grow a group of young'uns.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
Likely CF Jorge Fuentes. He's the best player on the team and one of the few on the active roster that actually grew up in the Miami organization. He was a IFA find way back in 2045 and has been with us ever since. He had a down season in 2057 but bounced back last season with 47 HR/108 RBI and 4.6 WAR. Whatever went wrong in 2058 was not on him.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
Last years #1 pick Curt Powell is loaded with potential. But he is 22 years old and his development really has not started at all yet. His 111 professional at bats in rookie ball so far are pretty meh. It's impossible to predict at this point if he'll remain with Miami long enough to see the big leagues or if he'll be an asset moved for some other need. With his ceiling being as high as it is it would be a major disappointment if he does not at least have a productive major league career with a few all star appearances mixed in.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason? Except in extreme situations I really do not pay much attention to what others are doing. Just focusing on making my team as good as it can be takes all of my effort and ability. Props to those that can go the extra level and maximize your team performance based others. I know I have my work cut out to catch up with the Nationals but that's more of a goal than a strategy.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
I'm snatching Dave Baker right away from the Tigers. Just entering the prime of his career, locked up long term, and the dollars/WAR ratio of that contract is going to be ridiculous for the next 8 years.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
Brewers get in done this year in an epic game 7 extra innings game over Texas.
Bonus questions...
What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
Every individual aspect of his entire being is equally epic.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
That one time he spent 19 years and counting crushing the PBL major leagues.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
No one is like Duane.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win? The world will never know. No structure can contain the combined awesomeness of the two and if they both entered the same building the entirety of reality as we know it would implode.

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
Expectations were to win games and win, we did. Probably more than expected and that was probably attributable to performances that exceeded my expectations by Jack MacGruder and Manny Sanchez. MacGruder was meant to be sacrificed prior to the season, but instead he settled for less money and made it a career year. Manny Sanchez was in there because he was somewhat viable but still was able to put together 6 or 7 shutout innings at a time. There were no real slumps over the course of the year and the addition Juan Garcia (swapping Rurik Unichenko) was a solid move.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
HRs will probably increase with Don Alston taking over for MacGruder and the addition of Gomez at 1B. That also might mean OBP drops a bit, but there is still a lot of contact on this team, followed by power.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
Every season my owner wants me to make a certain amount of money that we never reach; we come close, but don't hit. Nevertheless our overall budget has remained relatively steady and with aging contracts coming off the books faster than we can spend on new players means we are in a healthy position each season to add pieces. Additionally, most of our star players are approaching the end of their big time contracts (and maybe usefulness) by 2060 so beginning with last offseason, more money is being redirected into international scouting and player development without any detriment to the big league roster.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
It's hard to bet against Kata Okada on the offensive side and Jim King on the mound, but I think I'll go with Armando Gonzalez having a break out season and achieving his potential. While he's always been able to strikeout loads, contact has often resulted in a hit. With a slightly better defense behind him, Gonzalez could be on his way to a record year.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
SP Ted Morley is our top prospect, but he's only 19. Morley been floated as trade bait for a couple of seasons here and there, but with a rebuild in the future and his usefulness only increasing, we are leaning toward giving him his shot in the minors in the seasons to come and building the new generation of Padre pitching around him.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
We've got the WS champs and a team that's pretty scary on paper, but we've pretty much always ran our own race: to be best in the west. Also, the fact that the Dodgers nabbed MacGruder irks our fans a bit.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
CF is a weak spot and you can't do much better than Makalani Korra!
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
It's been a while, so what the hell, let's vote for ourselves to beat the Rangers in a rematch of the 2050 World Series.
Bonus questions... What do you love most about Duane Hansen? His ability to elicit genuine reactions when he hurts himself.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment? Didn't he break the postseason HR record when the Rockies beat us? Jorge Beccara hit 8 I believe to tie the record and that one extra HR may have been the difference (spoiler: it wasn't).
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen? Kata Okada if he were in a hitter's friendly park.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win? It doesn't matter, the entertainment would easily be Ben's reactions to seeing Duane get a booboo.

1. Review your squad's 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
After reaching the NLCS and coming within one game of the World Series in 2057, we had high expectations entering the 2058. Soon, high expectations morphed into disappointment. Players failed to hit in the clutch. Pitchers failed to maintain leads. Overall, team chemistry seemed to lack the winning spirit. In short, the season became the most disappointing season for the franchise in decades.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
Our team ERA of 4.38 was the worst since 2023. It's no wonder our owner is pissed. Our pitching staff just has to pitch better this season. Perhaps we even can make better use of the runs we score and improve upon our record vs. the Pythagorean.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
Our financials are outstanding! We have turned a profit in 18 of the last 19 seasons while investing as much as we are allowed in player development. Fans are loyal and optimistic with fan interest continuing to register a perfect 100. In fact, PBL experts recently increased fan loyalty to the extreme level to join the Yankees and Pirates with that distinction. Despite our small ballpark, attendance last season exceeded 3 million fans for the 6th time in the last seven years. Thankfully we at least are winning at the turnstiles.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
Walt Numbers has settled in as a consistent clean-up hitter who hits righties as well as lefties. In the last two seasons, he averaged 37 HR, 113 RBI, 101 runs scored, and an OPS near .900.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
Amazingly, Tristan Donovan, a 12th round selection in the 2055 draft, is now our top prospect. The scouting combine now projects him as one who could become a top of the rotation starter. However, he features a three-pitch repertoire one of which is a change-up that is not yet developing well. Our scout sees Donovan as destined for the bullpen which would limit his long term impact.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
It does not influence us. We strive to build a well-rounded team and supporting organization that also is financially strong.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
Makalani Korra. He's a position player who is a young, consistent, proven run producer. We don't even have to look at his contract. We would find a way to make it work.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
Texas beats Milwaukee in a tight series.
Edit: After a deep dive into the teams prepping predictions, I must alter this prediction to Houston beats Milwaukee in a tight series.
Man, the AL South is strong! In terms of stars, only one other team in the AL has more 3 star (current) players on the 40-man roster than any team in the AL South.
Bonus questions... What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
Duane was born in Stoughton, MA and graduated high school while living in Walpole, MA. For seven years, I lived in a town adjacent to Stoughton and very near Walpole. Everyone in the area is a Red Sox fan. I bet Duane is, too. He's just had to hide it from his Rockies teammates for 18 seasons.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
My favorite Duane moment is one I don't recall and would like to see on video. It is the 2.2 innings he played at shortstop back in 2044. Even viewing him warming up and demonstrating his proficiency around the 2nd sack would be a treat. What was his manager thinking? Thankfully for Duane, no one batted the ball in his direction.
Did you know? Duane last played in the field in 2046 ... 63 games in CF and 4 games wearing the tools of ignorance.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
Cecil Phillips is most like Duane. Cecil is a 1B prospect who hails from Denver where he was raised idolizing Duane. They both are 6'1" tall and weigh 215 pounds. Now, if only Cecil can learn to hit like Duane.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?
Chuck is a shadow of the man he once was. Duane will never age. Plus he has those silver bats. Duane wins with a quick KO.

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season? The Yankees collapsed last year as the good old guys just became the old guys. Some have retired, some were traded and some were released and dammit we are still old.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why? All of the pitching statistics were dismal in '58 but a healthy Marvin James, a developing Ramon Encarnacion and a newly acquired reliever Sancho Fernandez should start producing improved results.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities? The Yankees have plenty of money but the new plan is to be less dependent on long term high priced free agents and to invest more into acquiring young talent.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history? Ramon Encarnacion is starting his second full season. At 24 I am hoping he steps it up and emerges as an ace.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad? Johnny Brooks is 21 and starting his second season in Double A. With three high potential pitches led by great fastball Brooks projects as a potential #2 starter.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason? I was tempted to tear it completely down and embrace the rebuild but the fact that Toronto won the division with 71 wins makes it difficult to punt on a season where with a few breaks we could end up on top.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be? Walt Perez at the top of my rotation would be an instant kick start to the top of the AL.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...? Gonna go with the Astros in 7 games over the Brewers
Bonus questions... What do you love most about Duane Hansen? The fact I play against him only 6 times a year
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment? the 51 post season when Super Duane hit 9 homeruns in 18 games leading the Rox to the World Championship
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen? Well there was that time that Babe Ruth played for the Yankees.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win? To be fair Chuck Norris is 119 years old in 2059.

(GM Spiro squints as he wakes up at the foot of the podium)
GM Spiro: For the record, I didn't sleep here last night and I didn't lose my pants in a river.
1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
GM Spiro: I can't stress the thing about the river enough.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
GM Spiro: I'm a big believer in rWAR fluctuation. Mainly, because I don't know what it is and don't care to learn.
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
GM Spiro: In retrospect, they would be significantly better if my pants, wallet and car keys were not currently in one or several rivers. Which, the record will show, they are not.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
GM Spiro: You know by now. I haven't done this Media Day bit in twenty plus seasons. There's only one man who'd I'd un-retire this musty old absurdist comedy routine for.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
GM Spiro: We in the Colorado GM's office have a very scientific ranking of prospective players based on name silliness. Right now we expect big things from Ulbert Doppenberg.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
GM Spiro: I am unaware of any other teams in my division. Certainly not any other teams who won the division. And certainly not any other teams who won the division sending me into a 3 month spiral of binge drinking that may or may not have ended in a river. Certainly not that.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
GM Spiro: Makalani is a pretty silly name. I guess maybe that dude?
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
GM Spiro: Not that it would be relevant to my life personally, but if you find any pants in or around a local river, I would be interested to hear about it. Now. Do you people have any real questions for me?
What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
GM Spiro: That's more like it! First off, that man can party. Have you ever been to dinner at his house? You like liver? Oh he's got liver. You like herring? You betcha. How about tripe? That man has it all! Also, he is the greatest pure power hitter of all time. That's nice too. But you can't underrate how much tripe he keeps in his home.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
GM Spiro: Well, a lot of guys would say the 71 homer year, but frankly, we all know that was the year the Commish juiced the balls with helium so it almost doesn't count. I gotta say his last two years of homerun productivity have been my favorite. His refusal to decline has been super human. Seeing him take the second spot on the all-time homerun list was pretty special.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
GM Spiro: One of one. Don't think otherwise.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?
GM Spiro: Ah. You heard about the time they scuffled at my Arbor Day BBQ, huh? Well, look. It would be rude of me to tell tales out of school. But I will say this: When Duane and Chucky-boy fight, it's not a matter of winning or losing. It's a matter of how severely warped the space-time continuum is gonna become. For instance, see this dinosaur egg? This little bugger is the genuine article. And when it hatches, Duane and I are going to fight through our blistering cases of gout to eat every scrap of it. I don't even really care what kind it is. Diplodocus, Ankylosaurus, Oviraptor philoceratops? Doesn't matter. We're eating it tip to tail, and then Duane's gonna give Chuck another sock on the jaw so we can go back for seconds! And then we're gonna walk down to the river, find my pants! And then we're gonna win another world series! ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH DUANE!
(GM Spiro collapses in a heap in front of the podium and begins to snore violently)

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season? Going into the season with a goal to play .500 ball. This franchise had only 1 playoff appearance in the last 20 years. We got hot, brought up 2 highly touted rookies, and the rest is history. Such is life.2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why? Wins. I dont think we'll win 90+ again this season. This team is still 2-3 years away from being considered a top team IMHO.3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities? We're 28th in budget. Our goal is to continue to turn over every rock for value and hopefully maximize every dollar spent.4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history? LF Tyler Lumby. A 2055 Rule V pickup who's set up to have a career year.5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad? SP Takeru 'Big Pap' Kimura - Hard throwing future #1 or #2. We like him a lot. 6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason? Every team in the NL West has had success besides us. SD & SF are two of the best ran teams in all of the PBL. Thankfully we believe " Iron sharpens iron".7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be? Philly's SP Francisco Rivera - he's the modern day Dino.8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...? TB & SD with TB winning in 6

1. Review your squads 2058 performance to expectations. What were the key factors in your season?
The goal was the Playoffs - we did not meet that goal and it was all on management. We were using a 1 star catcher for the 1st half of the season and even with the amount of hitting we had our pitching was awful. We acquired C Miguel Angel Reyes with his 10 C Defense and leader ability and went 52-28 after the All-Star break in the toughest division.
2. What team statistic or rating do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2058 to 2059? Why?
Our era or pitching in general - we add a few pieces but we also upgrade defense at key positions CF and SS. I always believe in having a strong Defense in the middle C/2b/SS/CF and we will have 9's or above in each. I also put a ton of money into development this year hoping to help a almost empty minor system
3. How are your financials looking? What are your primary financial goals and priorities?
I think my financials are good but my owner wants to make a $28,000,000 profit this year - yeah that is not happening. Next year we drop 23,050,000 in Misc player expense that was as high as 30 mil at one point and opens everything up.
4. Who do you predict will be your team's 2059 MVP? What is that player's history?
I think this might be Pablo Diaz year to take over - he has some competition with Lopez, Kachmar and Salazar. Pablo has had 7.2, 5.5 and 5.3 war the last 3 years and 45hr, 55 and 49 HR playing almost all games. I am expecting close to 50 HR's and hitting .300.
5. What is your scouting report on your top prospect? How much long term impact do you think he can have on your squad?
SP - Shane Sandoval - 4 star with elite stuff potential and 2 pitches at a 9 being a fastball and change up. His biggest challenge is his stamina which is only a 6. I think he will be a 2 or 3 SP for us in the future.
6. How did the state of your division influence your team-building strategy this offseason?
It effect my pitching staff - I need to grab some LHP pitchers to even out with the overpowering RHP I had. I decided to move to more defense over some bats to try and slow down Hou, Texas and Tampa Bays really strong offense.
7. If you could acquire any player in the league right now with his contract intact and plug him into your roster, who would it be?
I love me some CF and the very young cheap and all around future superstar in Pittsburg David Peters - He had a 5.7 war last year at 23 years old walking 117 times with 34 HR's. Defense is 8 in CF now but could improve and would be a 10 in LF and maybe Right. O and he is a switch hitter that destroys right handed piitching.
8. Your prediction for world series match up and result is...?
I have to go with Houston and Milwaukee with the Astros winning in 6.
Bonus questions...
What do you love most about Duane Hansen?
I always love a player that stays with one team and performs at the highest level. if not for injury's his off year was 3.7 war with 47 HR's and .358 OBP. Damn at 40 he hit .308 with 63 HR's I don't care that he played in that steroid type ballpark his whole career he might be the best player in PBL history.
What was your favorite Duane Hansen moment?
all of his contracts - the best hitter in the league most years most expensive contract is 26,000,000 mil a year - I have players with half the talent wanting 35 mil.
Who on your team is most like Duane Hansen?
Right now its Pablo Diaz - he is hitting 50 HR's and close to .300 in one of the biggest parks in the PBL.
If Duane Hansen fought Chuck Norris, how easily would Duane win?
No one would win the world would explode with the 1st punch
