The first ten non-compensation picks of the draft are always protected from signing a comp eligible FA. If a team with one of these picks signs one, they lose their second rounder instead.
With the new draft lottery system we began last season it is possible for a team that does not have a protected pick to win the lottery and move up to the first or second pick.
In this scenario, should that pick become protected?
Simple majority wins this vote. Proxy votes will be cast to Abstain. At this point I am honestly not sure which way I will vote.

The top two picks via the lottery will always be protected regardless of the status of the teams pick before the lottery. League governance has been updated.
