My apologies.On behalf of the Office of the Commissioner, I am pleased to announce the 5th annual PBL Prediction Contest! How well can you predict the exact order of finish in each of the eight divisions? Let's find out. Enter to win Paramount Credits!OBJECTIVE: For each team in each division, predict the exact order of placement in the final regular season standings. SCORING: For each correct prediction, a GM will be credited with one point. The GM who accumulates the greatest number of points will be declared the winner. NOTE: Ties will be broken according to the order in which teams are listed on the PBL standings page. REWARDS:- 1st Place = 50 Paramount Credits (PCs)
- 2nd Place = 25 PCs
- 3rd Place = 20 PCs
- Other GMs Who Participated = 10 PCs
TO ENTER: - DEADLINE -- Thursday, April 2, prior to the first pitch of third week of the 2054 season.
- Prepare a list of predictions, by division, of the order of finish at the end of the regular season - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Completed ballots will include predictions for the AL (East, Central, West, South) and the NL (East, Central, West, South).
- Via the PBL message board, submit the predictions to Tim Ackley (Tim_GiantsGM) via a private DM post where they will be retained and referenced as necessary to ensure accuracy.
ACCOUNTING and REPORTING:
- I will create a spreadsheet that includes the predictions submitted by each GM.
- I will post an image of the completed spreadsheet for all to review.
- Periodically during the season, I will post partial-season results.
- At season's end, I will post the final results and announce the winners.

Hey Tim, you stiffed yourself out of a point. I think it was because you have NYM leading the NL East instead of NYN.

I have a tendency to sometimes enter NYY, NYM, CHW, and CHC, so I try to be extra careful. I proofread the sheet and still missed it.

This update is nearly out of date, but I will publish it anyway. At June 1, almost 1/3 of the way through the season, Danny (21) and Ron (20) are on fire.

Below is the all-star game update edition ... as of July 10. The PBL division races are wild affairs. In some divisions, no one has correctly predicted the current standings. Doug/TBA and Mac/CAR currently lead with 16 correct.

Final ResultsCongratulations to our predictions contest co-champions, Doug and Mac! Doug and Mac finished with 23 correct picks to edge Danny, with 22, and John, with 21. Great job, men! Note that Doug is three-peat champion!! Factoid 1: Last season, the top spots also were claimed by GMs with 23, 22, and 21 correct predictions. Factoid 2: Doug (23) and Danny (22) each correctly predicted the same number of teams for the second consecutive season. The final results are as follows: 1st Place (50 Paramount Credits each) = Doug/TBA and Mac/CAR with 23 correct 2nd Place (25 PCs) = Danny/TEX, and with 22 correct 3rd Place (20 PCs) = John/MIL with 21 correct All other participants earned 10 PCs for entering the contest. Thank you to each of you who participated! See you in 2055!
