No major, league power shifting data here, but in the interest of transparency I want to share this.
Brian notified me that he was going to be away and offline for opening day. He set up his active roster early and asked Danny to keep an eye on his team. Danny noticed and informed me last night that Brian set the AI to manage his complete minor leagues. (Presumably to make sure all would be taken care of on opening day for me). Well, reminder to the league that this is a bad idea. It is OK to let AI set up the organization but the AI makes really stupid decisions if you let it manage signings and releases.
In the past couple of sims the AI has released a couple of Minnesota's top prospects. Unfortunately I was the one that benefited the most as I have signed 7 of those releases into my minor leagues.
So, after going through the reports and looking at these releases, here is what I have determined:
1. Nick Fuller and Clark Harrison are still free agents and will be returned to the Twins.
2. The 7 free agents I signed will be returned to the Twins. Of these 7 I paid a combined 40k in signing bonuses. It's tiny so I will just eat that cost for the sake of simplicity.
3. The Braves paid a $2 million signing bonus for Rich Robinson. This transaction will stand. Call this the Twins "penalty".
I do not have access to change the setting for the Twins, so it is possible a couple more releases happen before he returns and can change it. I'll be keeping an eye on those releases until then and will get any more players with more than 1/2 star potential returned before they can be signed by anyone else.
