Congrats to the Rockies and welcome to the off season. This is the time that the PBL rules committee can get together and discuss any changes to the league. Please post here if there is anything you would like discussed.

The $40 ticket cap. Having a tiny stadium makes the ticket price cap a considerable liability. Would just appreciate a discussion

The new injury system and delayed diagnosis.
I thought last year or the season before we had made the change to immediate diagnosis. I would like to keep that if possible for 18. The new injury system is just not conducive to our online league format.

How is it amazing that an injury mid sim now can become worse by a player that continues to play while injured? I don't think there is anything we can do about it though unless someone else has any ideas.

Ive had almost a full season 18 with my league and a month in with my other and I have had ZERO issues with the DTD injuries. So I simply do not agree with not using it on the off chance a player gets hurt more.

So I simply do not agree with not using it on the off chance a player gets hurt more. First of all, there is no option to turn day to day injuries off so this is really moot at this point. I asked if there was a way to address this in the game and it doesn't look like it's even possible. But if you can't see what the issue is and how this "upgrade" did not take into consideration the impact on online leagues, then I don't know what else to really say to you. It's quite simple, if playing a player when they have a DTD injury increases the chance of a further injury then the way online leagues are run would increase the chances of those players experiencing a further injury. Reason being they won't be removed from the lineup until a sim is over.

I believe in this thread we can request the rules committee to review the injury setting we have the game on. I believe it is currently on 'Normal'. There is some momentum to downgrade this setting to 'Low'. Can we add this to the discussion in the upcoming 2044/2045 off-season please? This can also provide time for folks to present their arguments now, for or against, so the rules committee has a 360 degree view of the proposal. Also this thread started by the Rockies GM is a good place to start for anyone looking to learn more. paramountbaseball.proboards.com/thread/11511/injury-comparison-ootp-17-18Thanks!

I am pretty sure there is a setting to have the AI not start players with a DTD injury. I cannot find it in the manuals. I will try to look tonight when I can get into the game.

Right Click on a player, Player Strategy. You have to manually adjust it on each individual player. "Sit with DTD Injury Severity" I haven't found a setting to do it team or organizationally wide.

Yeah. That's the one. Thanks Anthony and David.
It is tedious. But I always set up strategy on any new player I bring up to the show anyway. So, for me, it is just one time through my PBL roster then upkeep after that. I will probably set it on my top prospects as well.
The main concern I am seeing is that a player gets a DTD injury early in the sim, continues to play, and suffers a greater injury. If this is set on all of your players it should mitigate that risk.
