As a fan of the Jays, it pains me that the team both stinks (so far) and is fragile. I think I heard (I could check, but won't bother) there is $80M sitting on the DL at the moment. If this were an OOTP squad, words would be spoken!

It's a problem with every team in every sport now days. Today's athlete is so muscular it seems like the simplest move tears or strains something. Take a look at baseball reference for the 70s - 80s. Most teams used less than 35 players and maybe 13 pitchers. Now most teams have used more players than that by May 1st.
I think there are less injuries in OOTP than there are real life. {Thankfully}
Damn I just set myself up for some bad karma next season, didn't I?

I think there are less injuries in OOTP than there are real life. {Thankfully} In the PBL absolutely, I think we have injuries set to "Low".

I mean, they do have quite a few injuries, but i suspect all will be back sooner then later. It's not even remotely close to as bad as it was in 2014. I remember a series in Oakland where we started the Vegas AAA team. EVERY SINGLE POSITION in the starting lineup began that season in Vegas. It might have been 2013. One of those years.

Funny that since I crafted the original post, the Jays have WON five-in-a-row. Still last in the AL East, but slightly more respectable AND still with a MASH unit. The significance of bench strength!!
