Was curious if anybody else keeps physical notes relevant to the league. I have a notebook solely dedicated to things like prospective lineups, farm depth, and draft possibilities. Anybody else do something similar or am I just way too nerdy?

that's excellent nerdy/ dedication focus! i do make notes at draft time and use shortlists a lot. the nerdiest thing i have is a calculator i built in excel around OOTP10 that (I think) helps me predict the 'right' number for SP pitch count

I have created a depth chart/team, stadium parameters/note pad/transactions sheet that I populate annually, so I can both plan my season and keep a record of each. While all this stuff can be found in the game, I still like the "old school" one pager of all this information adding to my immersion as a PBL GM. NERDS RULE!

I always have NOTES open on my computer and I run different pages for Commissioner related topics and then for my team. I also LOVE using a notebook and I have one when I'm trying to really focus on my team, start a new league, come up with ideas/concepts for this one, etc.

How many of you use shortlists? I have shortlists for top prospects, both hitters and pitchers in my org. I also setup draft shortlists of players i wanted to track through the years. Finally, i have a shortlist for any player drafted number one overall in the PBL. I'm still updating this, i go back 12 years. Jonathan Gibbs anyone? A few years ago (maybe 5 PBL seasons ago) i setup a spreadsheet to track each rating 0-10 and what the league average output stats are. I did this for both hitters and pitchers. It was enlightening to say the least!

I keep notes on my computer and have them from OOTP leagues going back years and numerous past teams.
This year I have taken the nerdiness to a higher level as I have create a spreadsheet to track my finances in attempt to better handle the money side of the game.

I'm ready to kick one of my kids out so I can use their room as a "Commissioners Office" all things OOTP.

My father took over my General Managers office. Ive kept notes and specific shortlist to make breaking down prospects/players easier to sort. Unfortunately I have nothing but to show except massive failure and frustration. But it's been fun.
