That's why I really really like that the PBL has a draft lottery. Teams can shamelessly tank but it will not necessarily pay off for them and all it does is keep getting your budget reduced year after year after year That's all in part because you're major-league team is horrible and nobody is going to the to the game to buy tickets. Even on the off chance that all of your prospects in the minors develop and you get to bring them up, by the time they get to arbitration you won't be able to afford to keep your team intact and you'll have to starter rebuild all over again. That's why it's important even during the rebuild to try and improve your win loss record because it will pay off in the overall picture. This is not directed at any person just a general statement Well said and very very true!

Between not wanting some players service time clocks starting, and a handful of days where I wasn't near the cpu...my lineup was a mess for a few days. I got it. It's not like the guys I would have been playing were anywhere near major league caliber.
I honestly hate rebuilding. I'd rather winning, sitting above the Rangers. But that isn't here yet...although it won't be too long.

To go along with what the Orioles said, the losing budget part is hard to deal with and the way free agency is and teams not willing to drop big time money on players anymore, I think any team, even a terrible one with a small budget can field a "competitive" team. There are a lot of bargains available to keep you in ballgames and even win you some.
I'm so tempted in having a small market, miserable team to run to test some theories I have.

Feel free to send your ideas my way. I didn't realize CHICAGO was a small market It has become one over the last 10 seasons! Can't seem to get butts in the seats to come out and watch less than mediocre baseball! Hoping Pantoja changes that this season!!!
