I wouldn't vote for him to be in the hall of fame. Ofocurse im a firm believer there are too many inductees in the hall of fame as it is. Edmonds was a very good player. My hall of fame would only include the best of the best. I dont think he and many others already in fit that. Im lonely in my beliefs apparently..

Other than Griffey Jr., can you name a better CF during his era? Based on the fangraphs link below, Beltran would be the only guy that has a higher career WAR than him but Beltran has spent more time in other positions than in CF. Maybe Andruw Jones WAR wise but Edmonds had some big moments in the playoffs. www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=cf&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2016&month=0&season1=1900&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0

I don't believe he's one of the greatest players of all time, and there for i don't believe he's a Hall of Famer

Opinion, wouldn't say it was an analysis.

Jim Edmonds was a hell of a player. What cost him his status in the HoF was the many injuries he suffered, sacrificing his body making the many brilliant plays he made in the field between 1993 and 2010. Edmonds even failed to earn 2000 hits. I agree with John, he was very good but he is not hall worthy. Baseball is littered with very good players who succumbed to injuries which cost them their Hall of Fame candidacy. Man, i always wonder what Eric Davis could have been without all of those injuries...
