I noticed this league does annual prospect ratings and I'd like to bring my case forward for switching to dynamic ratings. Especially at this time of year, I think dynamic ratings would be a huge advantage for everyone.
For example, I had multiple early round draft picks this year and I want to see how my minor league system rates compared to the rest of the league. Unfortunately with this system, I cannot tell without doing all the work myself. Real life GM's and scouts get way more time than we do to scout the league and they get real-time minor league updates.
I'm suggesting that we change our reports system to dynamic to give us real-time updates on how our prospects are doing compared to the rest of our team and the league. Maybe I use this screen more than other but I'm open to conversation.

Thanks for highlighting this. I agree. It would provide us with current information we could use to make what should be better decisions.
In addition, I will take this opportunity to again promote the advantage of enabling the ability to view player ratings compared to each of the league levels. With this setting enabled, each of us will have more data available to help us assess player development. For example, using the current system all we see is that a player may be rated .5*/2* (current/potential) regardless of whether he is playing in the PBL or in AAA, AA, A+, etc. With ratings by level enabled we could see that the same player might be rated 5*/4* at the A level. In that example he has maximized development at that level and should be promoted.
Ratings by league level is easy to work with by changing the league level used for evaluation for one player or for an entire roster. The other league I compete in uses it and I find it very useful in evaluating players in my organization and determining who should be playing at which level. Let's consider this change in the off-season.

Did the league level have a bug? Or was that in 16?

I favor dynamic over annual, for whatever that's worth.

What exactly are dynamic ratings? Is this in reference to the prospect list?

What exactly are dynamic ratings? Is this in reference to the prospect list? Yes, the prospect ratings and listings in the various views change as prospects are traded, added (via signings of first year player draftees), and subtracted (prospects accumulating enough MLB playing time to drop off the prospect list).

I prefer seeing the opening day updated prospect list and systems. But just for the way you responded im against this change now.

And i ask the benefits of doing it, and I get a shortsighted sarcastic response from the reds of "well it it has no effect on you" then I really dont care.

Why should I care where the player im trading or trading for is on the prospect list? Im not sure how this helps us any. A couple of examples: GMs sign the players that were drafted in the first year player draft. The prospect list and organization rankings are immediately updated (i.e., in early July vs. the next spring) to include the new prospects. If I drafted one of the top players in the draft, I would like to see him included in the top prospects list without waiting until the next spring. During the season GMs call up top prospects and play them enough that they no longer are considered prospects. The prospect list and organizational rankings are immediately updated to reflect the changes. In short, annual rankings become more and more out of date as a season progresses. Dynamic rankings are based on current prospects and, therefore, provide a more accurate representation of top prospects and organizational rankings.

I like how you have positioned the differences and the benefits Tim. Count me a supporter of this change. It really helps every team see what is accurate today, not at the start of spring training. Seems to me this is a great idea.

I'm on board 100% as well.
