What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
You can set up the daily lineups beyond 7 days.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
I focused this off season on two issues- Bullpen and Defense. The Yankees brought in four free agent relievers Matt Hines, Jose Ruiz, Eddy Harrington and Pepe Gonzales. As far as the defense we upgraded at Shortstop, Second base and Right field signing Roberto Madrigal , Antonio Aguilera and Anastasio Garcia. The improvements to these areas should prevent us from blowing as many games in the late innings as we did last season. The question that needs to be answered will my offense be enough to have us in the lead late in games?
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
The most exciting thing about this season is it's not last season.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
The Red Sox led by Jose Garcia are getting better ever year. I expect that the Yankees will play better than .500 ball this season but predict we will be looking up at Boston in the standing. Yes I said it- AL East teams playing over .500 baseball! It's gonna happen.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs? The Yankees-Red Sox rivalry is historic, but to be honest my biggest rival is whatever team I am playing that day.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
Outfielders Jose Betancourt and Guillermo Rodriguez are ready to start mashing PBL pitching in the very near future. Betancourt should make his debut sometime this season. While Rodriguez will likely hit the Show next season.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
I have played in multiple leagues in the past but now prefer the realism and focus that comes with playing in just one league. So I am exclusive to the PBL.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction? The Champion Dodgers have gotten even better this off season, so I see them winning the 2064 crown defeating the Angels in a freeway series.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
The makeup of PBL where good pitchers are more common than good hitters has been amplified by the conversion to 23. This has manifested in a OSA top 100 spec list heavily balanced towards pitchers and with the preseason predictions showing a severe shortage of offense. However, when all is said and done, the game will produce results in line with what we are used to. Sandboxing has shown we will still see comparable runs scored. What this means to me is any reliance on OSA ratings in evaluating talent should take into account that hitters are better than they look and pitchers are probably not as good.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
2064 is sadly going to be much like 2063 as Marlins patiently wait for some top specs to develop. We are excited to bring south paw hurler Ulbert Doppenberg into the mix. Doppenberg was the center piece of the trade that sent Al O'Brien to Colorado in 2059. He'll start the season in the Marlin bullpen but very well may work his way into the rotation by the all star break.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
I feel a bit like a broken record but like the past couple seasons the only thing to really be excited about in Miami is watching the development of the top specs.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
Did I just say something about a broken record? I will continue to predict the Nationals until someone unseats them. I don't see that happening in 2064.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
100% the Nationals. My goal and primary driver is taking away their annual, easy, division title. No I am not their rival. You have to be a threat to be a rival. Outside of one nice 4 season run the Marlins have not been very impressive since GM Harrison rolled in to the NL South.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
Oh, here is a question I can sink my teeth into! At 22 years old, Emiliano Girometta needs one, maybe two seasons in AAA. When he is ready for the bigs he should be Marlins every day Shortstop which will allow Eliot Bernard to slide to his natural position of second base. This has the potential to be an elite middle infield combination. Stud RF Greg Milligan is projected to be on the Active Roster in 2065. Projections have him anchoring the 3 or 4 spot in the lineup and providing all star level power that has not been seen in Miami in quite awhile. Marlins have 3 potential stud starting pitchers that will be in AA or AAA this season. If things break right, Drew Griggs, Pablo Soto, and Jimmy Humphrey will join Doppenberg and Valdez in the rotation and give the Marlins a full 1-5 rotation of starters that could all be the ace on some teams.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
Just the PBL for me. I was in a second league when I first took over commissioner duties here. I discovered that to protect myself from burnout it was important to reduce my OOTP responsibilities and focus on just PBL. The downside of this is that I do not get those fresh ideas and perspectives from other leagues. I am always THRILLED to get feedback from PBL GMs about cool stuff they are seeing out there in the world that we could consider incorporating.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Rangers over Nationals in 5.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet? Actually a bit of a negative. I really miss the strictly minor league organization page. Instead we are presented with a list of the entire minors. Yes, there is the org page that can be customizable, by default including the major league roster and 40-Man, but miss the minor version.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064? The Expos parted with a couple of aging veterans, I hope at just the right time, and in combination with the further development of the youngsters, I hope we can take yet another step in the seemingly endless quest for some success.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season? Every series. I am hoping we can string together enough winning series to be there at the end. One series at a time.
Who do you predict will win your division this year? I am going to be bold and suggest it's our turn.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs? Currently it has to be the New York Mets, who have been strong lately. Frankly, I hope they consider someone else to be their biggest rival and pay now attention to the Expos.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level? SP Jose Castro looks to be a solid pitching prospect. RP Larry LeGrange is very close and, if things pan out, could anchor our pen for years.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL? Each league is a little bit different. Suggesting change is like swimming uphill, in sand. So being in a few satisfies the quest for variety.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction? Miraculously, the Expos defeat the Astros in 7.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
David already said mine, but I miss the minor league org page. It's only a few extra clicks to switch the main org page back and forth, but I'm lazy.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
No Raymond Page!...which opens up the DH for Gerald Callahan, who might survive the season now. Losing Jesus Venegas isn't ideal either since he gave me a lot of lineup flexibility, but we're still pretty potent barring injury.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
What's there to be excited about? We already know we're losing in the NLDS, and I don't even have the Page Record Watch to keep me entertained.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
Atlanta's loading up, Carolina gave me a decent run last year, and Miami has a nice farm system, but we've won this division 5 straight years, and 13 of the last 16. To be the champ you have to beat the champ.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
Even with my rival GM gone our rivalry with San Diego lives on.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
Jorge Trespalacios could crack the rotation this year, and projects as a #2 starter eventually. Carlos Leal looks like he'll be a nice platoon bat at corner OF. Looking farther into the future, SP Charlie Linttell and OF Francisco Lafrosia are slightly better options at those positions waiting in the wings. I don't have a lot of top end talent in the minors, but there is a decent amount of depth.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
No, one is enough for me. If I had to make a minor suggestion I'd change the wild card round format from 1-1-1 to 1-2 to prevent an ace from pitching Game 1 then Game 3 on three days rest.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Reds over Astros in 7.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
It's too soon for other GMs to have have noticed that when it comes to 23 I'm clueless. The Cleveland newspaper noticed. This week they ran a story, "Guardians GM is Clueless." I own that, but who are these "Guardians?" Sportswriters are clueless too. They replace "In" with "Guar." What's that supposed to mean? As far as 23 is concerned, I have this sinking feeling the goalposts have been moved and I don't know where they've been moved to. Maybe Cleveland goalposts get moved to Baltimore. I don't know. It's all OJT to me.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
Our offense was pretty good in '63 but that was before OOTP23. Branch Rickey said, "Baseball is a random-ass game." It just got randomer. Maybe we'll compete. Maybe we'll be awful. You can Google the newspaper article. Don't forget to use "Guardians" in the search box.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
I'm excited that I can't be fired no matter what. Three of our starting rotation asked how to file for Social Security. (Please, guys, give me one more year. You owe me that.) 2064 should see the first of Cleveland's future starters, Jorge Torres. (Then those old guys are out on their asses.) Based on how pitchers perform in 23 Torres may not give up a run. Maybe one or two when the wind is blowing out.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
Detroit. Or maybe Detroit. Unless it's Detroit.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
I would love to think Cleveland is someone's rival. (Please call. Operator's are standing by.) Every year the White Sox, Twins and Cleveland climb over each other's bodies to get a shot at Detroit. I guess that makes us rivals.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
As I mentioned, we have high hopes for some pitchers. I'd like to say we have another Alonso Castillo or Dan Nicholson coming up. I really would like to say that.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
No and no.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Branch Rickey was a smart guy and there are a lot of good teams in PBL. At some point it will be Houston's turn. I'll say Astros over Dodgers in 7.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
I haven’t spent any real time in 23 yet but I have heard that catcher ability is a lot less important in this version which would be a big change.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
I’m hoping adding CF Roy Lopez 2B Calvin McMahon and C Douglas Pittman will elevate our offense from average to good. If we can keep up our defense and add a little more on offense, I think we should have a good shot to repeat as division champs and have a chance to make another playoff run.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
I’m excited to see a couple things. First, seeing how my team reacts to actually having expectations. We kind of came out of nowhere to win it all last year. Second, I want to see if Bill Smith can put a few more great seasons together at age 33 before falling off. Coming off an all-star appearance along with a WS MVP last year he started off spring training with 4 HRs in his first 11 ABs.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
I think it’s a two-horse race between Arizona and LA this year with SF rebuilding and Harold getting used to his new home in SD. I’d give us a slight advantage.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
I’m going to say Arizona for this year at least since I think it’s going to a battle for the division. Coming into my 5th season I don’t really have any bad blood with any team or GM. I know king_julien is newer to the PBL as well so I think he may view it the same way.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
26 year-old second-round pick from 2060 1B Anatasio Barrera was player of the game in game 7 of the World Series last year going 3-3 with a home run and a double despite only having 40 plate appearances during the regular season. He doesn’t project to be a stud but if he can meet his potential, he should be a serviceable player. I would say even if he never plays another PBL game his clutch play has already left a mark. I have a handful of decent pitching prospects headlined by another 2060 second-round pick lefty Bobby Ball and our first-round pick from last year Donald Quick. I’m hopeful they can both make the PBL roster by 2065.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
The PBL is my first and only online OOTP le-ague, planning to keep it that way. I’m really interested to hear any suggestions anyone with experience in other leagues has though.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Carl gets his well-deserved ring, Tigers over Reds 4-1. I was going to say in 7 but I think that is too much stress to put on the people of Detroit.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet? I haven't really dug into the extra features much.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064? Hidetsugu Fujii. At 42 million this season, he better have an impact, lol. He apparently, was overvalued (bulletin board material), but, I had the cash, most of my roster is young and looking at next year's FA class I feel I did the right thing for my team. I needed a legit superstar to put butts in the seats.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
A full season of SP Phil McDonald...and NOT finishing in last place!!
Who do you predict will win your division this year? The Angels again.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs? I still don't think I have one until I can compete in the division. We were in it before the All-Star break last season. The second half wasn't kind to us.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level? Phil McDonald is still considered a prospect, so him and maybe CF Edgardo Vazquez next season.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL? I'm in a few leagues. All of them are different from one another which is nice so there isn't much repetition.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction? Tigers over Reds in 6

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet? I don't know because I've haven't played enough to see the difference.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064? We signed many free agent former first rounders. We are looking forward to our newest rookie Jerome Evans.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season? I think this is a defining year for our team. We were one game short of the playoffs and hopefully the additions will make a difference.
Who do you predict will win your division this year? I think Washington still is ahead of everybody.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs? We don't have any rivals but it would be nice to be competitive enough to gain one.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level? Jerome Evans and Paul Dukes.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL? This is the only league but looking for another to join to sim on those off days here. Let me know if you have another good one to join.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction? New York (N) vs. Detroit. Detroit takes it.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
I posted this on slack, but if you are looking for the traditional minor league roster view of all of your teams it is still available. Just click minor leagues and then above the action button click view minors list.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
The acquisition of Ichizo Ine no doubt. The price to acquire Ine was high, however the chance to acquire a player of his caliber at his age was something the Reds couldn't pass on.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
I'm excited to see what the Reds can do this year. Many of the younger players aren't necessarily in their prime but it's exciting for me to see their growth. I'm also excited to see how the next wave of prospects will develop in their minor league seasons.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
Well, the predictions say Reds by 32 games. They've never been wrong before right?
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
I'll go Dodgers for now, just because both teams are good and have faced off against each other in the playoffs the past two years.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
Ken Klassen could make an impact if an injury opens a spot this season and would be the first player from last year's draft class to make it to the PBL. The two biggest impact players though have to be CF Greg McIntosh and SP Rick Vinson. Both players could be at the PBL level at some point next year.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
I currently only play in one other league, but have played in a few others during my OOTP playing days. One thing I would like to see adjusted would be the frequency of SB. It's something that was adjusted well before I joined the PBL and something I didn't realize was a thing until I was in the league for a few years.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Reds over the Astros in 7 games.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
I haven't had much time to delve into 23 so can't add much from what others have posted. I will be interested to see how the pitching / hitting dynamic will play out although I take on board Ron's points.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
We parted ways with long standing DH Carlos Garcia who saw a significant decline in 2063 so despite his great personality and leadership abilities we felt we had to move on. The replacement had to be a left handed bat and the perfect fit (we hope) is Jorge Salazar who still looks to have plenty left in the tank.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
Starting to see more of the much vaunted pitching prospects coming through. Noriyuki Ine is now the staff ace but Tovar and Morley had very strong campaigns last year also. Look for Enrico Marquez to solidify a place in the rotation this year also.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
We'll be up there but I can't predict us as the karma gods will knife us if we do and we perenially start slow and I'm still not convinced by our offense. The Rockies are always strong so I'll go for them.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
The aforementioned Rockies. Always strong, always competing and very well coached. Are we their rivals - you'd have top ask Can'tstoptherock that one....
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
Marquez, Henderson and Morrison on the pitching side. The hitting side of this particular cupboard is somewhat bare however.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
I do play in other leagues but like the variety that each has to offer. One feature that I like in another league to promote some interest in the minor leagues is to offer a small ($500k) prize to the winner of each AAA playoffs. This does inspire some more interest in that and in the minor leagues in general which I feel is a little lacking in PBL.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Tigers over the Nats in 6 games.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet? I think the secondary roles for pitching may be bugged. The Godly catcher "bug" appears to have been fixed.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064? New Team, new roster, new stadium, lets go!!!
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season? I want to finish 1st in the AL east. Going to try my best with the smallest payroll and the 2nd smallest budget (SLN beat me by 1M)
Who do you predict will win your division this year? Toronto all the way
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs? Don't have one yet, too new. It isn't the AL south anymore though.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level? Kent Cox will be very good, but will be likely traded in a few years. Sixto "seven eight nine" Burgos looks like a special player.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL? I used to play in several, but am only in PBL now.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction? CIN will beat DET in 6.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
Haven't really noticed much yet.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
Not a whole lot of changes. We added Paul MacLean to add another walk machine to the top of the lineup. That was our one FA signing for money.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
Another year of Bill McBryde developing and the addition of Atas Sekayi to the big league team. Other than that, it's another transition year as we shed our bad contracts (Bo Moore looking at you). Our payroll should be down to about 30M next season, so I'll be able to start thinking about adding players to complement our minors.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
Probably the Mets again.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
Also the Mets, though I don't know if I'm still their rival. At least not in our current shape.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
SP Chris Smolinski could be ready this year or next for the PBL. SP Tony Sanchez and SP Bryan Porter should follow after that and if they all develop will be my best chance to compete again.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
Nope, only in the PBL currently.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Mets vs Astros, Mets in 6

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
The fact that there are some sexy new stats available, like SIERA.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
Straight up, no idea. I took this team midseason and made . . . zero changes.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
Actually playing this game? And setting myself up for next season.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
Cincinnati. They're quite good, and I didn't do much this offseason to make things better.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
I don't know. Cincinnati in the division (though we seem never to both be good at the same time), Shane for his good looks, and Ben because my sheet said so.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
Mike Vega. I wanted to bring him up this year, but my logjam makes that not practical.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
Definitely not. It's PBL or nothing.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
A team from the AL vs a team from the NL, one of them winning more games than the other, but the number of total games will be <= 7.
Time to start the prediction revolution.

What's one aspect of OOTP23 that changed from OOTP22 that others may or may not have noticed yet?
The developers seem to have broken the code for openers/followers. Doing so is inexcusable. My planned follower will just have to start until they fix the logic.
What changes from 2063 roster do you think will have the biggest impact in 2064?
We shed many veterans who held key roles for many seasons. Most notable is Kurt Wood. Kurt, one of the most unexpectedly successful FA signings in many years, was a fixture with us at SS & 2B for eight seasons. The replacements should have a significant impact in 2064 as we lose a ton of games while rebuilding.
What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
Our minor league organization is gaining strength. 3B Craig Martin (#7 PBL prospect) and SP Francisco Mendoza (#31) could develop into outstanding players at the PBL level. Also ranked in the top 100 list are SP Hideki Nakashima, CF Rex Tolmie, SP Eduardo Gallardo, SS Juan Guzman, and SP Phil Williams. Watching them, and others, develop should provide the excitement during the upcoming season.
Who do you predict will win your division this year?
Most likely the Dodgers will prevail.
Who is your biggest rival? Are you theirs?
I would have to say the teams in the NL West. We have had many exciting division races. Right now we are rebuilding, so I don't think we are anyone's rival.
What prospects in your organization do you see making an impact in the next few seasons at the PBL level?
See prospects referenced above.
Do you play in any other online leagues? Are there any features that you enjoy in those that could be discussed as a future change to the PBL?
I play in one other league. Two features used in that league that I miss in this one are: a) the ability to view ratings by level, which provides additional insight into which players are ready for promotion; and, b) full coaching staffs at all levels.
And finally, of course, what is your PBL 2064 World Series prediction?
Cincinnati Reds defeat the Houston Astros in 7 games.
