1. Review your squads 2061 performance to compared to expectations. What were the key factors?
Jays Manager, Harold Cornish spent 1 1/2 seasons in the Mets organization coming in mid-season in 2059 and posted a 42-30 record before losing 2-1 in the Wild Card round. The team maintained its’ momentum in 2060 finishing 1st with a 95-47 showing.
2061 proved to be a struggle for the new Jays Head Guy as he adjusted to life on the “other side of the coin” after taking over the team. Lack of quality starting pitching was the biggest challenge that the team had to contend with, and the Jays only managed to post a 64-98 record which left them 16 GB and out of playoff contention.
2. What goals did you have for this off season? Did you accomplish them?
We were financially strapped during the offseason and did not have any funds available to put toward looking for free agents to fill our needs. The key goal this season is to improve the team’s attendance and ticket prices were adjusted to encourage more people to come out to support the team. The results won’t be known until the end of the season.
3. What team statistic, rating or aspect do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2061 to 2062? Why?
We had an encouraging Spring Training record of 19-11. I know that those numbers probably won’t translate into a similar showing when the regular season starts, but I’m optimistic that we’ll be able to improve on the 64 wins of 2061.
4. Who will you miss most from last season's squad that you were not able to bring back?
There have been so many changes over the course of the offseason that I can’t pinpoint one player at this time.
5. If you could add any player in the league to your roster with his contract intact who would it be?
SP Guillermo Hernandez (OAK). I like it that he’s an extreme groundball pitcher that would do well here.
6. Do you have any OOTP application Tips and Tricks you think other people might not be aware of that help you?
None at this time unfortunately.
7. Your 2062 World Series prediction is?
Houston over Washington in 6.

1. Review your squad's 2061 performance to compared to expectations. What were the key factors?
The Giants performed close to expectations by securing a playoff berth for the third consecutive year, but we fell short by again finishing third in the NL West. We simply could not find a way to consistently beat Arizona and San Diego. At the turnstiles, attendance exceeded 3.3 million, which was a shade above 96% capacity at Presidio Park. Also, the franchise continued to be very profitable. The team seems to do very well at everything but winning our division and reaching the World Series.
2. What goals did you have for this off season? Did you accomplish them?
Our goals were minimal. Our team is aging. Our organization is devoid of talented prospects. Very soon we will need to completely overhaul and rebuild the parent club, but we plan to compete for another season. During the off season, we signed RP Felix Baraja to bolster the bullpen and RF Lou Hewi to provide superior defense in the outfield. We hope that with excellent to outstanding fielders at every position but 1B the entire pitching staff will benefit with improved production.
3. What team statistic, rating or aspect do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2061 to 2062? Why?
We expect that the improved defense playing behind the pitching staff will translate into fewer runs allowed, a lower team ERA, and an improved run differential.
4. Who will you miss most from last season's squad that you were not able to bring back?
We will miss the contributions of OF Frank Taylor and RP Pablo Bloem.
Taylor was the last player, a prospect at the time, included in the 2049 trade of superstar SP Enrique Vazquez to Kansas City. We did not expect too much from Taylor, but he delivered with ten years of solid production during which he batted close to .300 and made one all-star game appearance.
Bloem, signed as an international free agent out of the Netherlands, toiled for the Giants for 14 seasons. For most of his career, he was the setup man for super closer Jason Frye, but after Frye's retirement Bloem contributed with three outstanding years as closer. He recorded 213 career saves and a 2.72 ERA for the orange and black.
5. If you could add any player in the league to your roster with his contract intact who would it be?
Center field is such a difficult position to fill with a combination of outstanding offensive production and super defensive skills that I would select David Peters. He is everything we would want in a CF. We hate that he now plays for the D-backs.
6. Do you have any OOTP application Tips and Tricks you think other people might not be aware of that help you?
Tend to your financials! Each year you should strive to generate revenue that exceeds expenses.
The ticket price is one key. Your goal should be to set the price to attract fans to the ballpark. Attendance at about 85% of capacity or more is a good goal. During the season (you may adjust the ticket price during the season), you may test the impact of price changes on projected revenue. Doing so should help you find the sweet spot. Avoid underselling your product by setting the price lower than it could be.
7. Your 2062 World Series prediction is?
Houston and Washington seem to be the strongest in each league. Houston wins in six games.

1. Review your squads 2061 performance to compared to expectations. What were the key factors?
We did not have a ton of injuries to our front line players, which helped a lot.
2. What goals did you have for this off season? Did you accomplish them?
I thought getting Ramillo was a good idea until the front office forgot about league contract rules and we ultimately lost him. So other than a 1 year deal on Travis Olson we are rolling back the same cast of characters. Although we are hoping for an infusion of RP's from the minors.
3. What team statistic, rating or aspect do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2061 to 2062? Why?
Morale. The team nickname for 2062 should probably be Lazy Bastards cause we have a lot of them. Need to win or the clubhouse could get ugly.
4. Who will you miss most from last season's squad that you were not able to bring back?
Easy, Jontaro Inagaki. Although losing Anthony Thomas for the entire year in spring training means we are now down 10+ WAR in the starting lineup over a year ago.
5. If you could add any player in the league to your roster with his contract intact who would it be?
Sukenobu Taneda (healthy of course)
6. Do you have any OOTP application Tips and Tricks you think other people might not be aware of that help you?
Fatigue Management is your friend.
7. Your 2062 World Series prediction is?
Going with a prediction that make me look like a genius or everyone forgets anyway: Washington over Minnesota in 6

1. Review your squads 2061 performance to compared to expectations. What were the key factors?
Last year's team won 100 games in the toughest division in the league, but was swept in 2 games in the first round. It was a solid team whose best offensive performances were not from the expected players. Texas did not play well in the playoffs but it was a solid season.
2. What goals did you have for this off season? Did you accomplish them?
Wanted to beef up the starting pitching depth that was pretty thin last year, and despite trading Roy Pike and Don Goode it looks more promising overall. Tashkilat Saakadze has underperformed his talent and is a risk that will be a key to the rotation's success. Orlando Martinez looks like a solid lefty at the back of the rotation. Another goal was to continue to add talented prospects; the addition of a number of draft picks via trade should help that end.
3. What team statistic, rating or aspect do you expect to fluctuate the most from 2061 to 2062? Why?
Hoping for better performances from a few proven vets who had down years, most importantly OF Makalani Korra.
4. Who will you miss most from last season's squad that you were not able to bring back?
Roy Pike was traded due to asking price concerns; he was a solid pitcher for Texas.
5. If you could add any player in the league to your roster with his contract intact who would it be?
OF David Peters from Arizona or Paul Burke being plucked from the Astros, hahahaha.
6. Do you have any OOTP application Tips and Tricks you think other people might not be aware of that help you?
Get a hold of how the financial system works -- use the accounting tab over the financial one.
7. Your 2062 World Series prediction is?
Texas will defeat Washington
