1. Did your squad perform above or below expectations in 2056? What happened? The Red Sox had 76 wins last season which was the most for the team since 2050. We were very close to reaching .500 which was our goal. 2. What young player will have the most impact on your team this season?I'd love to see CF Greg Gill take off this season! He hit .223/19/60 last season. I'd love to see the BA improve. I think the guy who will have the most impact this season will be 1B Natsume Motsuzuki. The 25 year old was our MVP last season hitting .250/36/98. I think he's just getting warmed up. If he can equal those numbers, I think we will finally have a chance to score some runs.
3. What would your teams biggest fan say about your offseason? We signed Jose "The Fly" Vera! We were missing another power hitter after Mostsuzuki last season. We struggled to score runs all season. Vera, 36 y/o, gives us a legitimate power threat to hit behind Natsume. This ST, Vera hit 7 HRs and drove in 24 RBI in just 29 games. Adding him to DH was huge.
4. What would your worst critic say about your offseason? We spent too much on Vera and at 36, we overpaid for him. 5. Who is your favorite player on your MLB roster?Vera without a doubt followed closely by Garcia. 6. Are there any surprise teams you predict to be in the mix in October?I don't think so. 7. What is the best Baseball movie ever made?Eight men out. 8. When did you join PBL? What teams have you ran?15 season. I joined in 2039 as the GM of the Cubs (my IRL favorite team), took a break for a couple of seasons, came back in 2051 to take over the Red Sox.
9. To date, what is your favorite PBL moment? Winning the NL WC in 2042 with the Cubs. My only postseason experience in the PBL.

1. Did your squad perform above or below expectations in 2056? What happened?
Above during the regular season, then flamed out in the Wild Card round. The regular season overperformance was the lineup all coming together and having a spectacular season, highlighted by setting the NL record for HRs in a season. Still behind those late 40s As for the PBL record though. Despite the 101 wins though we had to play a wild card series thanks to SD and MIL, and our decidedly average pitching staff was decidedly average.
2. What young player will have the most impact on your team this season?
How young is young? SS Aureliano Cervantes is only 25 and is coming off 5.5 and 6.5 WAR seasons, so hard to go against that. For younger I'm hoping SP Ismael Garcia (not quite 22) can improve off a decent rookie campaign. For complete newcomers 2B Clyde Walmsley's bat caught fire last year in the minors, and he'll battle Oscar Scott for ABs in 2057.
3. What would your teams biggest fan say about your offseason? We took the best offense in the league and made it better. Scott and Walmsley should be an improvement at 2B, and Gerald Callahan lets Chris Allen move to DH. We have firepower to burn.
4. What would your worst critic say about your offseason?
Two main comments. One is why the hell didn't we spend resources on significantly improving the rotation. The answer there is I didn't want to overpay for the free agents that were out there, and couldn't swing a deal for someone else's starter. Not ideal, but we'll just win games 9-7. The other is how could you let Robin Johnson walk to a division rival?! It pained me dearly, but with neither Chris Allen or Johnson capable of much in the way of fielding, and Raymond Page holding down 1B, there just wasn't room on the roster. Johnson deserves better than to wind down his career as a bench bat, and now he can pad out his HoF case in Carolina. Thanks for 15+ great years.
5. Who is your favorite player on your MLB roster?
Raymond Page is gaining ground, but it's still Chris Allen. Too many big playoff HRs to remember.
6. Are there any surprise teams you predict to be in the mix in October?
Not sure Boston counts now since they're projected to win the AL East now, but I can see chaos in the AL Central leading to a surprise participant.
7. What is the best Baseball movie ever made?
Major League. Most dramatic baseball movies don't work for me, I prefer the drama of the real thing.
8. When did you join PBL? What teams have you ran?I took over the Nationals in 2039 (technically after the 2038 season) and haven't looked back. With Johnson leaving I've officially outlasted everyone in the organization except maybe the owner, who came in that same offseason.
9. To date, what is your favorite PBL moment?
Winning the World Series in 2048 is the obvious answer, but my favorite part of that run was coming back from 3-1 down in the NLCS against a juggernaut Padres team with my rotation working on short rest. That was the start of the SD-WSH rivalry, which SD has admittedly pulled ahead in.

1. Did your squad perform above or below expectations in 2056? What happened?
Dead center probably. Texas led the league in run differential but did not win the division and exited the playoffs in round two. Ranger players won the MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year awards last year and it is hard to call 99 wins a disappointment, but after reaching the ALCS the previous two seasons the playoffs were a letdown.
2. What young player will have the most impact on your team this season?
RHP Javier Avila should help and OF Carlos Mota has a chance to see playing time later in the season. Julio Nunez is a 28 year old rookie who won a spot in the rotation in the spring.
3. What would your teams biggest fan say about your offseason?
This foam-finger rube would cheer for the extensions of Pete Gawley and Hector Martinez.
4. What would your worst critic say about your offseason?
Such a fan would say that trading Oliver de Kok was stupid.
5. Who is your favorite player on your MLB roster?
Makalani Korra is the only player in baseball history to win two MVPs before his 24th birthday, so he is my favorite.
6. Are there any surprise teams you predict to be in the mix in October?
The Twins, Warhounds and Mets all look to improve on last year's season.
7. What is the best Baseball movie ever made?
Bull Durham
8. When did you join PBL? What teams have you ran?
I joined around August of 2011, which was the beginning of the 2015 season, with Toronto. After leaving Toronto in 2036 and taking a brief hiatus from the league from roughly fall 2015 to spring 2016, I came back to the league as Texas in time to make offseason moves before 2038. That means this is year twenty with Texas!
9. To date, what is your favorite PBL moment?
2050 World Series win, no question. Got hot and beat a number of good teams in the playoffs, including a juggernaut Padres team in the series. This is a great league that is very competitive and it felt good to get one.
