Everyone join me in welcoming back Rich to the PBL. Those old timers in the league will remember Rich from his World Series Championships in 2011 and 2023. Rich is returning next season after taking a hiatus for awhile. But he got the itch again and I am happy to have him back.
Not to steal his thunder but I have another announcement that ties in with this. I have decided to retire as GM of the Padres. Since I have become commissioner I find I have much less time to actually manage my team. This is a sacrifice I am happy to make as I have discovered my passion for the PBL is greater than that of my team. I would prefer to take over the poorer franchises and spend some seasons building them up so that newer members can join in and not have to look ahead at one to two real time years before they can be competitive.
Currently GM movement looks like this. Tim, currently with the Marlins will move to Kansas City. I will move to Miami. And Rich will take over the Padres. Finally, as has been noted, Nick is also returning to the PBL and will take over the Brewers. All of the changes will occur when we convert to OOTP 19.
Welcome back Rich! We are glad to have you.

Ron, I admire your dedication to the PBL. I left the A's in 2029 to manage the Expos for one season and then I took some time off as GM as well to focus on the league itself. Its a good strategy, allows you the time to get what you want done but you will get the itch again and when you do, make sure you jump right back in!

Hey guys, it is so good to be back! It's been just over 4 years since I was last a GM of the White Sox and ever since then, the PBL has never left my thoughts. So while my girls went through their baby years, I checked in from time to time to see what was going on, it wasn't until a couple of months ago that I couldn't take it any longer and had to reach out to Ron to see if there were any spots open. And to the credit of the PBL and fantastic community this league has always been, there were none! Knowing that the league was still running strong only furthered my impatience to get back in and when Ron offered me the Padres, it was go time! Hopefully I can continue the work that Ron has put into the team and I will strive to be an active member of the league. In the past I've done plenty of wheeling and dealing (to my benefit and detriment) so please hit me up with any trade ideas you may have. I'm always entertaining ideas and happy to chat. But keep in mind, I will not be taking over until next season, so don't go dismantling Ron's team just yet. PS. Ron, you give me too much credit, I've only got one World Series ring in my collection.

Welcome back, Rich! Good luck to you, Nick, running your new organization! And Tim (Erv), it's great that you once again will be piloting "your" KC Royals organization!
We'll miss you in the NL West, Ron. I applaud your decision. The new challenges should be fun for you... and help strengthen an already great league.

As bad as those Royals teams were, they always seemed to beat me. So frustrating, lol!!
