I just posted this in the Advice forum... but here's my issue...
I go to download the new file and I get the following... "Error: could not open archive file."
I downloaded the settings file from the front page, so I do have those in place.
Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

If you installed to the default location it should be something like this: C:\Users\rharr\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\saved_games\PBL.lg Then, you are extracting everything out of the gz file and putting it there? Also, you say the league loads ok but you get that error when you try to import?

And you have confirmed that accountsdata_gms.dat is the right version, spelled correctly, and is located in the Settings folder? I downloaded it from the front page of the site. Is that our most current one? I'll double check the spelling on it once I get back home

Funny how nobody looks at the "website" until a conversion takes place! Ha! Not a comment directed at anyone, just a peculiarity.
The URL on the settings button likely hasn't changed, so unless the location on the server has changed, it still should be OK? Downloading the settings and making sure it's a separate folder within your league folder is sometimes a problem; I would check that again.
Here's a different hint too: PRETTY SURE - you actually do NOT need 18 on your laptop, you just need the "PBL.lg" folder, which contains the world.dat file to which 19 needs to point in order to IMPORT the game into 19. You could just copy the PBL.lg folder to SOMEWHERE on your laptop, then go to import with 19 and simply find that folder when asked by OOTP. That way you are converting the game you KNOW works into 19 (assuming you never have d/l and export issues in 19).
Let me know if that idea works - I have never tried it, but in theory..................... :-)

Maybe the easiest way is for Ron to upload a "starter" league file for 19 to the website and people can download and install as if they were if they were a new GM

Just had to make sure that both are unzipped and the settings file is copied into the league file.

Ok... I blame all this on my shitty satellite internet.
I started over from scratch this morning (for the 3rd time) and now I can finally download the latest file.
Now I just have an issue with uploading my export. I keep getting the "Could not upload file. Error -201: Connect error"
