So I just noticed when we transferred over to OOTp18, the player histories are missing.
I didn't uncheck anything, they should all be there. Anyone know how or why? Is there a fix. This is pretty important.

I am seeing history on all the players. What I am not seeing is the Personality attributes for the players on the BNN page. You can still pull up the information on a Personality & Morale report but it is blank under the individual player.
Edit: I just noticed that the Player history for Marcos Pena is missing, but he seems to be the only the player on my team that is missing history.

I wonder if Anthony, or any other Commissioner elsewhere that has already moved to 18, might be able to shed some light. It would be a shame if we lost that (or cannot migrate it from 17)?

This is pretty important. Derek, where (i.e., what pages) are player histories missing? I examined pages that contain historical stats for selected players on the Giants. All stats are available, just like in v.17. Also, I examined the pages in the team history ares - roster history, draft history, leaderboards, etc. - and all history is available. I haven't been able to locate any pages with missing history. Also, my other league converted with no issues. I think we're fine.

A league setting available to the Commish via Game Settings >> Players & FaceGen enables player personality attributes to be viewed on the player profile page. After Derek checks the option, we will be able to see them. I would post an image, but Tinypic isn't working for me today. My other league also encountered this issue. It's an easy fix.

I also noticed a big problem...why are pending free agents signing for such low dollar amounts? First Will Taylor and now John MacGamwell.
Both were considered two of the top free agents, why would they sign for so little? Especially MacGamwell, it makes no sense at all.
Both are also examples of players with their history cleared.

I think it is too soon to characterize two contract extensions as a big problem. They signed contract extensions. Free agents have not yet declared. In my other league, contract demands for top free agents have been for big bucks over multiple years. Let's see what happens as the signing period progresses. -- To expand on the history issue, while researching Taylor and MacGamwell I noticed that for each player the lower portion of the player history page has been wiped clean except for the recent contract extension. The upper portion - awards, leaderboard appearances, game accomplishments, salary history - remains intact. Only the lower portion is missing - general news, accomplishment news, awards news, injury news, scouting updates. The player profile page also is missing the player history, but not the other data. I checked additional players and found the history to be complete. That is not to say that other players have not been impacted; I just haven't found any additional instances. This "wipe-out" seems to be due to a programming bug that occurs under certain conditions. Just a guess. Strange. -- Edit: Since the extensions for both Taylor and MacGamwell show in the player histories as the only entry, my guess is that the condition that triggers the bug actually triggers a reset of player history .

All I'm saying is that it's an issue that we definitely need to track because on the surface it doesn't make any sense. I am not calling anyone out but for the sake of competitive balance in the PBL, I don't think it makes too much sense how lower caliber players are demanding ridiculous free agent contracts while the top pitcher and hitter took considerably less. I get wanting to play for a winner but something weird happened with those contract demands.

The league's transaction log is very much screwed up. I have the game date at November 9th 2042, the day before arbitration. Yet the league's transaction log goes up to November 26, 2042. The game is somehow 17 days into the future while also in the present. The players themselves have futuristic transactions----witness RP Chris Hawkins of the Indians signing a 2 year, 5 million dollar extension on November 24, 2042----which is 15 days from now.
Also, every amateur free agent discovered by team's scouts dating as far back as the transaction logs go (November 2042) is now Jim Unknown or a retired Minor league player, they have no ratings and are not available to the team.
That is unusual.

It looks like every Free Agent has no history Including no record of past injuries.

Richmond - FA indeed has no history. So, went and checked one of my guys, still on team. Also no history now. I swear he did have some the other day when Derek posted his original post. Wonder if they all were wiped at FA? Check some guys on YOUR team to see if they have history or not now?? Have sent a bug report to OOTP regarding this BTW.

I conducted some research in my other league. I found the following: - Profile >> BNN Page (player profile) -- All history (injuries and otherwise) has been retained. No change from v17.
- Profile >> Injury History -- No injuries are visible.
- History -- All history (injuries and otherwise) has been retained. No change from v17.
I conducted research into several PBL players and found what others have found:
- Profile >> BNN Page (player profile) -- For some players, all history (injuries and otherwise) has been retained. For other players, history seems to begin with the current off-season.
- Profile >> Injury History -- No injuries are visible.
- History -- For some players, all history (injuries and otherwise) has been retained. For other players, history seems to begin with the current off-season.
I deleted v17 from my computer, so I can't verify this, but I believe the Profile >> Injury History selection is new. If it is, perhaps the developers did not properly link injury history to the new page. Can anyone verify this?
For the other two pages, all history was retained in the other league, but not in the PBL.
At this point, my working hypothesis is that OOTP introduced a new page in v18, but the developers did not "connect" the page to history data. Also, for pages that existed in v17 an as yet unknown event associated with the PBL upgrade clobbered some history.

So will we be able to retain some of this history?
