The word was that the actual timed draft wouldn't start till today, but we were allowed to start picking early if we wanted.
You disgusting hater.

Up front I notified the league that the clock would start today. Any picks we got before today were extra credit. I nudged the Tigers yesterday and did get a response. So he knows it is his pick. I sent another reminder this morning. Technically he does not time out until tomorrow morning but if I get no response by this evening I'll probably jump the gun and auto him.

Can pitchers with great hitting ratings be used as position players? Or as both? Or only as pitchers?

Ok. I think we have waited long enough. Tigers auto pick CF Joe King.
Blue Jays select via short list (thank you) SP Tom Harris.
Cardinals are on the clock.

Can pitchers with great hitting ratings be used as position players? Or as both? Or only as pitchers? Once the player is in your organization you can change his position to anything you want as many times as you want. You can put anyone in your lineup and/or rotation. Generally players develop better if they focus on being a pitcher or a hitter. But sure, you can draft a pitcher and develop him as a hitter or vice versa

Received word from the Mets. He has been on the road without his laptop all week and has not been able to review the draft yet. He will be able to get a pick in this evening though.
